This was a great chapter! I liked all that you wrote about the different learning styles and how Harry learned that he wasn't stupid, just needed to break things down in a different way to learn them.
I also enjoyed your explanation of how all that was new in Harry's life was distracting him. Such things really can be overwhelming in a chld's life and we have a tendency to forget that. I like how realistically you write his adjustment to his new family.
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked this chapter and that you told me so in details!!! Thank you very much for your review!
Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all... NOTE: This story has a prologue. It is not necessary to the plot of the story, but if you wish to read it, it is called(predictably enough) 'Prologue to Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat'

Snape seems to be getting to the very crux of the problem here, and yet does not push through because he realizes that Harry will close up if he does. Excellent addition to the latest chapter and as usual, I look forward to reading more when you are able to write more.
Author's Response: :0) Thanks!! I'm glad you like!! And I'll get back to this soon as I can. :0)

You definitely captured a classroom of unruly kids quite well and homework really is not a whole lot of fun to grade, even when kids have access to computers...sometimes I wonder why I assign homework at all and yet, I do. Excellent description on all fronts.
Author's Response: Thanks! It helped that I actually had to go through this! yeah when I was teaching computers weren't a factor yet, because I taught preschool.

This chapter was very intense and highly emotional. You captured the after effects of Harry's nightmare well. I felt tense while reading it. Nice writing.

This chapter is a wonderful illustration that we all need to take care of ourselves. It can be so easy to get caught up in the day to day life and to get caught up in the needs of others that we lose ourselves.
Author's Response: One of the biggest problem of social workers. Thank you very much for your review!

Unfortunately, no matter how old we are, we all have setbacks. I can well imagine how hard it would be for Severus and you do an excellent job of showing that to your readers.

Excellent update. I like how Harry continues to seek Severus as a source of comfort even though he is still mad at him - such confusion is to be expected. I look forward to the next update. Wonderful writing.
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad to hear you picked up on Harry's confusion. His subconscious hasn't stopped depending on Severus, but obviously Harry is a little mad at him at the moment. I think he'll start to slowly trust Severus again soon. Going to Severus when he was in pain, no matter how desperate he was, was the first step to that.

This chapter was a delight to read. I enjoyed all of the mixed emotions that Harry had as well as Severus' struggle with patience. I look forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks! The chapter was a bit of a struggle for both of them. Becoming a parent to a teen is a learning experience for Severus, and he knows that he needs to be careful with his temper. Harry's trust in him is fragile and one wrong word could shatter his hard work.
