I am an avid Celestial Serpent fan (Snape/Sinistra), so it's a bit odd that I'd be on here. However, I wholly agree that Snape should have adopted Harry, so most of my stories will have that be the end result.

    Again, nice chapter. I liked how you wrote Harry deciding to go to Snape's potions class over the break instead of him going to Sirius's. It shows maturity especially when he says that he wasn't going to let Sirius's immature remarks bother him. Nice add of Harry and Hermione too. Good job.

    Awe... I loved it when Harry said that Snape shouldn't mock the Gryffindor Bravery. That part made me laugh. Your ending was very nice also. Great job. :)

    Author's Response: LOL! i was listning to the Wizard Rock song "The Bravest Man I Ever Knew" and was trying to come up with a way to put that into this story, and i thought of that line because of all the times in canon that Snape Mocked the "Gryffindor Bravery".

    First off, I'm sorry to hear you've had a rough couple of months. Hopefully, 2011 is better for you. You're entirely right on your FFnet profile that the unsigned reviewers should be thanking you for adopting that piece in the first place instead of being so nasty about it not being updated in awhile. Sometimes I wonder if people get too wrapped up in fan fiction and forget that we authors all have lives too. Take the time you need in my opinion so that you can keep up the awesome writing that you do. After all, I think the diehard readers will be very understanding, and except for those pinhead anon people, will stay with you through any breaks you take.

    Now onto my review. :D I'm very intrigued with the Snape and Harry dynamic here. While I understand Snape jumping quick to his fiery temper, I am wondering if there was another reason for that, though. :D I don't know why but I feel as if Snape might be trying to keep Harry from getting himself killed. I don't know, though. That could just be my good Snape showing up again. :D I shall wait patiently for your next awesome chapter and until next time. :D

    Aww, thanks for the kind words of support!  2011 is looking up in some respects, but not so much in others...story of my life really.  An emotional roller coaster.  Now I'm having to deal with transfering colleges; cross your fingers and sent good-will vibes to me for that that one go smoothly.  I'm starting to wonder if this is what life is like, with all these big ups and downs, or if it's just me?  I know people say life isn't easy, but this is really sucking.

    Anyway!  I'm glad you've stuck with me.  I assume I can count you as one of those die-hard readers, yes?

    For your review part:
    You may be reading just a **tad** to much into the story there.  I'm very subtle and love leaving hidden symbolism and foreshadowing, but not so much on that mark. ;)  Keep guessing though, as truly in this story nothing is as it seems, like I quote in my summary.  I like to keep you guys whipping around at every twist and confused.  **evil smirk** I'm just sadistic that way.  Even one of my betas this chapter feared for my family, asking if my horror-type characterizations (which she loved, none the less) reflected any on my personality.

    Hoping to get the next chapter finished before the end of Break (Jan 17) and outbefore my birthday (Jan27).  But at the moment I'm turning my attention to Bastard Prince, my adoptee story, since I do feel I should get cracking on it now.

    Awe... Very nice, DA. I love these lines: "Harry seemed to deflate before Severus's eyes. He had clearly been expecting some cuddling or at least a bit of sympathy. He should have known better. Severus Snape did not cuddle." Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Severus. One of these days, you shall become a great big cuddler. :D I think Harry's situation touched a bit of a nerve for Severus. :D Nice chapter.

    Yeah, I've never written "Draco" as Harry's friend before, but I was inspired by a few stories, especially Aspen's, AFLNO. I never liked Draco before reading her stories.
