I am an avid Celestial Serpent fan (Snape/Sinistra), so it's a bit odd that I'd be on here. However, I wholly agree that Snape should have adopted Harry, so most of my stories will have that be the end result.

    Awe...I love it, Shadow. My favorite line was "I’m not getting any younger here, Potter…” I could see Snape saying that. Awesome job as always. Too bad Harry didn't get to remember it. :D

    Author's Response: Yeah-- there's NO WAY Snape would have let him remember THAT experience! I had terrific fun writing that scene, as poor Harry tries desperately to get out of singing to Snape! Thanks for the review!

    I like how you show the changes to all three of them. Hints of their past selves are still there like when Draco says "you're not dead yet." You keep them very consistent and in character.

    Nice chapter. I liked your inclusion of this line "You have spent the last 14 months punishing yourself for something beyond your control, have you not?" One could say the same thing about Snape.

    Author's Response: Thank you very much! I actually was worried about whether or not I had kept them sufficently in character. I'd been looking for a while now to see if any of the challenges clicked for an attempted first fic, and yours just struck me for some unknown reason to the point where I had to write it. Maybe Harry or Severus is inteferring for some reason. :)

However, thanks to a Minister out for revenge, a Death Eater who needs a reality check, and a meddling Headmaster, normal and separate are the last words either could use to describe their next year at Hogwarts as they start their newest adventure as master and apprentice.
