Cauldron’s bubbled. Potions simmered. And Snape was yelling at Neville again. Just another ordinary day in Potions class, or so they all thought. When a potion reveals something out of the ordinary, Harry’s life is changed forever, and not in a positive way. Was it so unreasonable to ask that he be allowed to make it through sixth year like a normal teenager?

I love your story. Was incredibly grateful that the update from the last chapter came so swiftly. The way you portray Harry feeling is just so realistic and clear. And on a side-note, both the 'mood song' and quotes fit really well. Anyway, it is stories like this one that keep me reading fanfiction. Great story.
Following the death of Sirius, Harry isn't sure what to make of the sudden appearance of a six-year-old boy. The pair form a bond, unaware they're half-brothers, and Harry decides to take the boy to Hogwarts and hide him there. To aide the boy's education, Harry anonymously exchanges letters with Snape. A story of a how a young boy becomes a father-figure to another while their own father is oblivious of their biological existence. But can sixteen-year-old Harry give what he himself has not gained? Can he go an entire year without being discovered? Just how far will Severus go to find the writer of those letters...Or are some things best left unknown?

I'm really interested in the story. It's a great set up, and leaves tons of questions. Great first chapter!
Can Harry be saved in time from the darkness that he has sunk into to?

A delicately, desperately sad story. Beautiful descriptions. Thanks as well for introducing me to a new song, which I am currently listening to.
Author's Response: Thank you very much for the review. And yes it's a very heartfelt song. My favourite at the moment. Thanks again :)

Wow. I really like your story. It's always been a personal campaign of mine to make it known that Autism does not mean retarded- how I hate that word. Actually, I have asperger's, but have not told certain members of my family yet because they still don't understand I thank you for your story, and hope that it will help others.
Author's Response: Yes! Autism != retarded. I am glad you like my story. Hogwarts will soon know the wrath of Snape when those foolish boys take things a step too far...
Oh, how adorable! Ha, and Snape wasn't the only person surprised at Harry transforming. Love the story!
Author's Response: I'm glad I managed to surprise you :)! Thank you for reviewing!
"He isn't my real father, but he's the only one I've got," Harry said miserably. "And he hates me." "He doesn't," she whispered, but then could say no more. Lily begins to see. Answer to Bratling's Survival Challenge.

Oh, wow, I'm not sure what to say. This is just plain incredible. Great story. Sorta off the beaten track, what with Severus not being the 'good guy underneath it all' you usually see here. I like it, excellent.
In which Voldemort’s plans are upset, Severus is annoyed, and Harry has a new career goal. There is also a kitten, because kittens are cool. Entry into the 2012 Prompt Fest

Not a bad start. I will say that your story would benefit from a beta reader, just to go over some grammar and other technicalities, to give it a more polished and clearer flow. Still, I like your idea of Dudley doing something, it isn't seen very often and I would like to see more stories like this. Good start!
This chapter was very strange, and I felt for Severus. It was also quite hilarious, and I enjoyed Snape's inner monologue.
