| I love reading and writing Harry Potter fan fiction, as well as original fiction. I especially like torutured hereos, hurt-comfort fics, and keeping Snape in character. Feel free to read more of my stories at Ashwinder (Sychophent Hex), fanfiction.net, AdultFanFiction.net, etc, all under the name "chrmisha". 2017 UPDATE: My latest NC-17 HP/SS fics are posted under this username at Archive of our Own. ENJOY! [Report This]

Cauldron’s bubbled. Potions simmered. And Snape was yelling at Neville again. Just another ordinary day in Potions class, or so they all thought. When a potion reveals something out of the ordinary, Harry’s life is changed forever, and not in a positive way. Was it so unreasonable to ask that he be allowed to make it through sixth year like a normal teenager?

LOVE THIS! Hahahahah!
Author's Response: glad you liked it, Chrmsha. thanks for reading and reviewing.
Rather than allowing Harry to stay at Diagon Alley after he blew up Aunt Marge, the Ministry sends Harry back to the Dursleys. Harry returns to school after a terrible summer, to find that he's not the only one with this kind of secret. A student has been killed by his family. New screening measures are put into place by the Ministry: Every student must be given a medical exam and interview to look for child abuse. With Dumbledore facing an inquiry, Snape is entrusted with the task of making sure EVERYONE receives one.

This was phenomenally well written and I really enjoyed it! The only thing that didn't sit well with me is Severus not liking Lily "in that way." The *only* way I can see that is if your Severus is gay. Otherwise, he definitely loves Lily more than a friend and always has.

Fantastic! I love Sev. Not sure he's in character at the end there, but the scene was really well done and very sweet.

I loved this chapter! Great job! Phenomenal portrayal of Molly Weasley too! The only thing I didn't like was Mrs. Granger insisting on being called Dr. Granger. Of course if you were going for her being stuck up and better than everyone else. it worked ;-). I love this story. I love the slowly building relationship between Snape and Harry. I'm glad too that Ginny was on drugs as opposed to being possessed--which is where I thought you were going with this originally.
