    Wow, wonderful story Snapegirl! I love the descriptions of the two parties and Harry allowing himself to be a kid for once with not going to bed. (I'm happily thinking of how the Gryffindors would react to having a bed time.)

    I was waiting to see if it would be like the bonfires of old, but alas, you made it quick. (Either that or obliged the public by not being too graphic!)

    So can you like have a pissed off Lily torture the wench in the afterlife please? I mean, she messed with Lily's memories! She needs more punishment!

    The dragonet was cute! So was her mom (shush, don't tell!)and Severus' bonding over children.

    So what will happen now?

    PS- Whiny Gryffindor brats would be awesome. Especially if someone was to slip and tell the Gryffs who probably believe Merlin was a Gryff that he was one of their "arch-rivals."

    Better yet! Can the heads have fun and switch houses for a week or two?

Voldemort needs a spy but placing his youngest, most talented lieutenant in Dumbledore's pocket without endebting said lieutenant to his Lord's service would be foolish. What gift could Voldemort bestow upon Severus Snape to ensure his absolute loyalty? The Potters, perhaps?

The essence of Halloween (or Samhain) can be condensed into a moment; amid the warm cracking of a log fire, with the fading taste of chocolate upon your lips, you sit in suspense, listening to a ghost story. You shudder as the tale reaches its climax, gasp in safe fear, then relax into your chair. Whilst fluffy Halloween ficlets are enjoyable, one needs a pinch of darkness, a dash of horror, to add piquancy.

This is the tale of four Halloweens, the first three of which are told from Voldemorts P.O.V. Need I say more?

    I love it! (No James!!) Lily and Sev's conversation on October 31, 1979 was very realistic. I wonder if Sev in your story knew that James was keeping Lily away from him? Who is the actual owner of the eldar wand since it is implied Snape killed Dumbles?What is Harry like as he gets older? Does Lily try to influence him towards the light? Or is she too entrenched in Sev's life on the dark side?

    Severus is the actual owner of the Eldar wand but Voldemort, as we see from the books, has no real interest in the Hallows; he only wanted the Elder wand as a weapon to defeat Harry's wand (and, knowing Voldemort's thought processes, if his yew wand hadn't been the brother of Harry's, he'd have considered it infinately superior to the Elder wand because the yew wand chose him!) Also, in this story, Severus is amuch more effective weapon than the Elder wand and, with a choice between killing Severus (Voldermort was incapable of considering 'defeating' and 'killing' to be anything other than synonymous) and breaking the Elder wand, he chose to destroy the wand.

    I think Lily would have tried to influence Harry to be compassionate, honourable and thoughtful but, other than that, I don't see her risking her family by plotting revolution. Voldemort in this story has never died and, thus, is a lot more mentally stable than his resurrected self was in the canon. As a result, he is an effective leader, ruthless but intelligent enough to knows how to find the balance between fear and worship.Thus, life is bearable for the majority, which, in short, means that they are not desperate enough to risk life and limb to overthrow Voldemort. I thought it'd be a suitably spooky Halloween story!

    As odd as it sounds I kind of would like to see Harry and Snape actually exchange drawings or something they have made for each other for Christmas. It seems more... personal. (Well you asked!) I'd love to see Harry's reaction to (if you put them there) Spinner's End and seeing if the boy can piece together the hints seen in the books and/or in the movies that Snape is a half-blood. (Match box. *grins*).

    Seeing Harry in Snape's old room from when he was a teenager would be fun as well. Perhaps even Snape seeing the state of the boy's clothes, Harry borrowing some of Snape's old stuff... Which could led to conflict. Especially if it is Snape's old Slytherin stuff. Or Harry getting into one of the dark textbooks, whether by accident or on purpose, and Snape getting angry at him. A unique punishment would be interesting. (Well you did ask)

    As you can tell, I love the story and look forward to when you continue this one.
