About me:

A few things about myself:    

   1) I am Canadian (cough ... and proud of it)

    2) I absolutely love the readers on this site, and hearing their thoughts/questions either by reviews or messaging makes me simply dance. 

   3) I have a pet newt. He is so old it's not even funny. Yeah, 14 yrs. Pet store said 3. Good thing I like him. 

   4) Lastly: I got into writing fanfiction here for two reasons.

           A) The first is that I love to write. And not only that, I wanted to learn to write.

           B) Potions and Snitches is a great place for learning.

     Thus - I've made a lot of mistakes writing, but because of how  awesome the reviewers are, I've learned from those mistakes and gotten better. The kindness of the readers has kept me coming back time and time again, and really helped me improve my writing. At this point I'm now working on an original novel, meaning fanfiction has taken a back seat. That was always the goal, and I hope one day to take my writing somewhere besides just the internet and my friends' bookshelves.

  Current Project: Jan 1st 2016 update - Writing is going quite well. Still taking a break from fanfiction. Not promising any new P&S stories, but it isn't impossible. My original novel is slow but progressing, and is into some of the final drafts. Had some success in the past year - got a short story published! If you'd like to read the story, check out Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Possible. The story is called "The Pivotal Moment".     Ah ha! I knew it! I quite liked the conversation with Snape, and the way you ended the chapter was rather fun. ;) Although, not sure if Snape would use the phrase "Chicken Out". I just can't picture it, is all. The image of the class covered in blue slime was a funny one!

Dumbledore, and many more, perfectly knew that.

    Oh Luna ... haha, nice touch! Yes, I definitely got a chuckle from this one. The style flowed quite well, and I liked the idea of Snape taking a "sick" day. It made him more human! On another note, I noticed a few small errors. I much prefer to hear from people if I have missed something in my own writing, so I can learn from it. So: "he answered with a grim marred his angular face." confused me a bit. Grim? Did you mean a grin? Although a grin wouldn't necessarily mar someone's face unless it was an unpleasant grin. Then, "Lately it has reached its peak." Has should be had - what with the story being in past tense. Working with different tenses can be so finicky - I still catch myself doing the same if I'm not thinking! Lastly: "Lucius and her paid him a visit" This might be a stylistic thing, but "She and Lucius", or "Lucius and Narcissa" sounds a bit more proper, and flows better. Anyway ... Hope you don't mind a few little tips. On to the fun things! Your story definitely made me chuckle! I absolutely loved Minerva's comment about Severus waiting a few years! Although I wouldn't be surprised if Dumbledore bribed the students to write him letters, haha, or at least Harry! You should really keep writing, because this was quite funny (hence the ten), and your stories will only get better if you keep at it! Cheers, and thanks for the laughs. :)

It's the first English fanfic after a long long time and wasn't beta-ed. I'm glad that finally I know which part I should revise :) Your review is encouraging. Thanks again. I'll keep writing. Lol, about taking a sick day, I did it. And the response I got was beyond my imagination. Sometimes you get unexpected things, from unexpected people :D That inspired this fanfic.

    Well gee, there goes me being productive if you keep updating this. You have me hook line and sinker, rosina! It's just ... gaaahh I can't wait for the next chapter. Snape's perspective is great - and even though he's a little different it feels natural. That, and you have Harry pegged perfectly. I did love the commentary on Harry and his friends by Minerva and Snape, and the dialogue between Harry and Snape was just superb (especially Snape's advice). I am glad you had a good reason for Harry's refusal, as at first I was like, how do you refuse Harry Freaking Potter? Anyway, I hope your next update comes quickly, but as long as it's this good I am willing to wait! Ten out of ten for you, and seeing as I'm rather picky (I admit it, I'm a critic and hard to please ... sigh), that's saying something!

    Author's Response: Thanks - I really appreciate your comments. I doubt there will be any more, as unlike proper storytellers *bows to Whitetail* I can't seem to get my head around anything more than a one shot. I live in hope though!

    Bah ha ha! Oh my gosh, this is glorious. I love what you did with the challenge! And the writing has that fun, in your face sort of style (all of the italicized words for emphasis) that just fits perfectly for a teen like Harry. All the characters were nicely done as well, and the humour was fun. I particularly loved the line about the revelation of what the spell did pretty much made Armageddon sound like teatime. Although, in that glorious line (I simply love it) there's an s on the end of sound that wiggled its way in there, so you know. I rather prefer to know these things in my own writing so I can fix it right away. Anyway, this really made me smile. Especially Dumbledore's intro with his obnoxious name and him grinning behind his steepled fingers - what an image!. I look forward to the next installment. Oh yeah, and welcome to Potions and Snitches!

    Oh Merlin's Pants this is excellent! You did a good job with Harry's and Snape's reactions - Harry knowing it was better to shut up and Snape just going ape! I can't wait for the next chapter, but take your time!
