- Yay, a volcano! Er, I mean ... poor Hogwarts - a volcano! I can't help but dance that someone else answered this challenge! I had no idea it would end up being this popular! That must have been terrifying for Harry and his classmates to be outside when the cap on the volcano blew up. Yikes. Although, I have to wonder, would it really be warm enough to not have a cloak in January? Maybe it's just because I live somewhere that is pretty much in the midst of winter until the end of April ... so goodness knows my weather sense is a little skewed. Anyway, good action! On to the next chapter ...

- The scene in the classroom was good. I liked the image with the lava outside the window. The small pieces of Amanda Flint's back story - while few - were enough to imagine what she might be like. I wonder what they're going to do ... Looking forward to more!

- Oh gosh, I had to wrack my brains to remember what had happened with Harry and Amanda earlier! That's what I get for reading stories during finals ... A bit confusing with the time changes sometimes, but whether that's the story or me I'll never know. I really liked Marcus' concern for his sister, and I like Amanda. She's sweet. Looking forward to more!

- ARG! Pretty much a literal cliff hanger! Well ... that escalated quickly. ;) Here I'm thinking - oh, they might have a chance. Oh, it's just gas so far. And then BAM! Lava! Yikes, I would not want to be them right now! And Snape - I sure as heck hope he wasn't too late to save Amanda. Although, Severus Draconis Potter, I would not put it past to kill her off, my evil compadre. ;) Oh, and I liked Ron's pet name.

I didnt want to drag it out, because I knew what was going to happen to her. And prolonging it had me a bit sad and sniffling over my keyboard. I changed her fate twice if it helps, so I'm kind of sorry leaving a cliff hanger. But on the bright side...At least we're into the Harry and Snape action right? Thats gotta cancel out right? lol,

- That was very touching. I liked the last few lines especially. Well done.
The blood quill gives Harry an infection. As he slowly deteriorates, he refuses to go to the Infirmary until a certain Potions Master finds him in a corridor.

- Ooh grisly! The descriptions of the infected wound were good. It conjured quite a horrific image. Snape was good too, and quite in character. I also really liked the way you ended it. Obviously some people will be annoyed that it didn't go further (people almost always are) but I preferred it this way. It had a kind of eerie finality to it, and left it up to the imagination just what Snape did.
Snape has kept Lily’s many secrets for years. Having been forced to reveal one for Harry’s safety, the rest look soon to follow. And either Black has found a way to fly, turn invisible and tame dragons, or there is someone else after Harry’s blood too.

- Ooh no wonder Snape's in a bad mood! What an interesting twist - Petunia not being related by blood! I can't say I've seen it done before. An intriguing story, no doubt. Your writing style has caught my eye, and I enjoyed the conversation between Dumbledore and Severus. It seemed to create an illusion of depth in regards to their relationship. Hmm ... onward.

- Well I did not see that coming! I can't even say Snape is out of character, because as far as he said, almost everything we know about him is a lie! How interesting!
