A fast little read about what happens when Harry isn't aware that someone is listening to him rant.

awesome. where do you get these ideas? seriously. it's like it just pops into your head and carefully eludes mine... haha! fantastic work! keep writing!

p.s. i'm frantically awaiting an update in Dream Walker..

Author's Response: Lol, don't forget this was a response to a challenge, so I really didn't come up with the tin can idea.  I just had a different take on it than the other people who responded did.

Twenty years after the War, Harry is a solid family man who's taken in one more. In helping this damaged little boy, he finds himself thinking about his old professor, quite a bit.

Oh. My. GOD. This is perfect! I mean, I'd much prefer a living Severus, but I guess beggars can't afford to choose. I like the Harry chanelling Snape part, it was wonderful! I'd once wonder about how Harry would fare as a dad, and I guess this is also how I imagined it. Great work, love the banter between the two guys. Excellent work, and update soon!

I'm so sure you wrote this to plague me. What's the connection between Tim and Snape? I mean, they have to HAVE some sort of connection seeing as how Tim sounded so much like Snape!!! On the other hand, Dudley is so...friendly. It's a bit weird, imagining Dudley as someone so.. genial. I can't help but notice how Tim is a bit similar to Harry (and probably Snape) when he's (they're) young. All in all, excellent work, and update!

Crucio?! You are "Crucio"ing me with all the suspense. I'm dying to know what Snape and Tim had to make Snape so insistent for Harry to care for Tim. And the Crucio. Oh poor Tim. Fabulous work as always, but hurry and update!! Lol.

OH MY GOSH! I think i'm gonna cry! This is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. A wonderful alternate view on the death of Snape. I'm glad that Snape actually turned out to be Snape--been wondering about that since the "bezoar" thing. Fantastic, amazing, wonderful. I wish I Could write something like that. I'd never really like stories where Snape remained dead, but this, yeah, it's sad and everything, but it's hopeful, and Snape came back, in the form of Tim. Wonderful. I'm speechless. Will there be a sequel? (Pls say yes, pls say yes, pls say yes!)

    Author's Response:

I'm so glad you liked it.

There will likely be a sequel.  Not for a while because I have other projects, but eventually.

I planted a series of clues about Tim/Snape.  I think there's one in almost every chapter.  It's a sort of scavenger hunt :-).

It is sad.  I don't mind stories where Snape isn't really dead, but it always feels like cheating to me.  But, I figured that if anyone had earned a grand, cosmic do-over, it was Severus Snape.  Even if he didn't want it and he had to spend great chunks of it with Harry-bloody-Potter.

Cauldron’s bubbled. Potions simmered. And Snape was yelling at Neville again. Just another ordinary day in Potions class, or so they all thought. When a potion reveals something out of the ordinary, Harry’s life is changed forever, and not in a positive way. Was it so unreasonable to ask that he be allowed to make it through sixth year like a normal teenager?

OMG. As wonderful as ever. That was an awful way to start the story, keeping all of us(well, at least me) biting our nails and lips, crossing our fingers waiting for more, wondering what will happen... ARGH. Wonderful wonderful wonderful.

ARGH! Snape is so... SO NASTY! How can he be so cruel? And though it's nice, I"m still wondering how Lucius can be so... nice? Is there an ultimate motive behind his actions?? I hate Harry being so sad, and i absolutely adore the way you can turn Ron (how could you!!!) against Harry, and then manipulate the whole situation with a few simple sentence yet picturing perfectly Harry's sad state... Fantastic. Really really fantastic.

My heart is aching along with Harry's. How do you do this?? I mean, make the reader hold their breath along with the character. Or maybe i'm just being too emotional? Severus has to care, doesn't he?

Whew. What a ride. I was on the verge of tears. Finally he came. Fantastic as ever. I'm in awe. You've outdone yourself.

Hmmm.I realise that I'm too late in submitting my idea, but today's the first day i recieved an update to the story, which surprisingly is already 14 chapters long, with already 14 people reviewing. Do you update multiple chapters together, or one chapter at a time?

Back to the topic. I really would like the boys going back to Hogwarts and dealing with it there, but that's too common, i guess. Perhaps you could send them to Hogwarts and then something drastic happpened which prompted severus to take Harry back and home-school him? It would give them a chance to bond... Durmstrang would also be nice, but only if Severus is there. *shrugs* Maybe Severus fell sick or hurt because of Harry and Harry(and Severus) realises that Severus cared more for harry than he'd known.
