- I must say that this is a lovely first chapter. I tried reading Blood and Choice alone but I found myself clicking the back button somewhere in the middle so that I could read this one first. Now, I'm off to finish the rest of this one and Blood and Choice.

- I was actually disappointed about how Snape reacted in this chapter until I thought back and realized just how perfectly in character that would be. He would be more likely to do the above than to cry out and Apparate Harry away even after seeing how horribly he is treated. I applaud you for getting Snape in perfect character.
