Voldemort is gone and Harry's relatives had no desire to keep Harry for long, so he was placed into an orphanage until he was adopted by a family. But when they pass away a few years later, he is placed into the custody of another who had just moved to Spinner's End. That is when Severus first saw the boy without even knowing who he was. The little boy, seven years old, who was always forgotten, uncared for and treated like filth. Severus watches this boy and sees a reflection of his own childhood. And when they meet, Severus vows to offer kindness where no one else does, in the form of a simple piece of food the boy lacked or a warm blanket for the cold days ahead. And when things get worst, he even offers shelter to the child the world had forgotten and cast aside.
The boy Severus now wants to save.

- I think Judith needs to be kissed! Evil woman...and Marcus needs to go to Azkaban...That woman is seriously deranged and he is not much better going along with her...
I really hope that Harry gets better and that Snape gives the woman what she deserves!

- Gah! I was looking through the reviews I had left, and realized I hadn't caught up with reviewing this chapter or the one previous...I am a lowlife, a scum, dirt on a worm's butt...you could stop me at anytime now... :P
Seriously though, I absolutely love this story! And Poor Harry; he must be devasted for sure having lost Severus' trust..and I am sure that Severus feels very bad for having to tell Harry that too...

- This was so great!!! I loved how you brought all the loose ends together, the detentions, both individually and together were perfect. I really couldn't imagine what was going to happen and you exceeded my expectations.
I love how Harry sleeps with Severus' robe, I wonder if Sev will realize that maybe Harry is doing that because he feels such a devasting loss in losing the trust of a man he loves and admires and respects. I can well imagine that Sev will react quite spectacularlly (sp).
Charlie's lecture was just right and right on, you really gave some depth and thought to this dragon problem and really it applies to all wild creatures whether they are fantasy or real.
Well done! Looking forward as ever to the next chapter! Remember, writing fanfiction is all you are supposed to do!! LOL :P

- I am really enjoying the direction you are taking this story - I hope that the adoption goes through for the both of them soon, and I really loved this chapter, how you got the two of them to come together to talk. The poor boys have had too much tramutization in their childhoods that they are constantly second guessing each other and doubting themselves. Well Done!

- Awww, I feel bad for Dumbledore...poor guy...wonder how he will treat Severus and Harry after finding out about this?
I hope that everyone can get along despite that he wasn't there, and maybe there could be some healing between the three - not sure how one would go about achieving that though, but I leave it up to you dear author, as I thoroughly am enjoying this tale...and when you say the story will be ending quickly - how many more chapters will there be?
