- That was a sad chapter. You did a nice job capturing Albus' despair. Having a horcrux on him every day would have been enough to drive even Dumbledore round the bend with out the added misery of Harry and Severus' situation.

- Another powerful chapter. Albus must be exhausted after battling the horcrux when he was already mentally and physically weakened. I hope Severus isn't too hard on him.

- Lots happening in this chapter. I'm glad Albus finally realized that he had been making bad decisions. Too bad that poor Harry and Severus had to suffer for them. I wonder what will happen to the Dursleys? The rehabilitation is going to be murder for Snape but at least he will have his family for support. And after all this, Dumbledore will probably bend over backwards to help in any way.

- It sounds like Harry needs to work through this loss. Hitting Snape and destroying Dumbledore's office may have briefly felt good but he needs to talk to someone about it. Definitely not Snape though.

- Well, it doesn't seem like anyone tried to help Harry recover from the loss of Sirius since Dumbledore. The Dursleys don't care. Though I wonder if Minerva saw them abusing Harry. I'm not sure she would have managed to keep from hexing them if she had.
Author's Response: In my way of thinking, Minerva didn't see Harry at all that morning because he was probably too busy doing slave work - sorry, CHORES - inside the house. I'm sure after the Dursley's had him cook their breakfast, he was probably tasked with doing the dishes, cleaning the kitchen, mopping the floor, buffing the stainless steel appliances, vacuuming the living room, scrubbing the toilets, pruning the rose bushes in the back garden... You get the idea. :} Poor Harry - he's the definition of "cheap child labor". Thank you for the review!

- Snape must have been shocked at the turn of events. He may have tried to validate his feelings about Harry's beating by thinking that he had gotten worse from his father but this will be impossible to overlook. I am kind of surprised that Dudley would be willing to have that kind of contact with his freaky cousin.
Author's Response: Dudley is definitely twisted. If he wasn't such an evil brute, I'd actually feel sorry for him. I don't want to give away too much, but let's just say that it stems from his home life.

- I'm glad that Severus took Harry to Spinners End. He probably isn't thrilled at the idea but Snape isn't one to shirk his duty. Now if Harry will just be willing to trust him.
Author's Response: The thought of entering Spinner's End induced a full-fledged panic attack for Harry. I'm sure it was also in part of what just happened to him, but still... The poor kid just can't catch a break!

- Poor Harry. He has had a rotten day and now Snape is grilling him. Though it sounds like Severus is reeling himself after having all his beliefs about Harry shattered. That won't be easy for him to accept.

- I wondered when Snape would take care of Harry's injuries. Shower first, then the potions and finally bed. Harry must think the world is spinning off his axis.

- I'm glad to see the two of them tentatively getting along. I also found the description of the potions lab and Snape's way of hiding it interesting.
