- I find it really interesting that instead of the whole evil Dumbledore idea used in a lot of fan fictions, you've changed it so it's Harry, not the viewers, who is lead to believe the worse of him. I'm really happy that you didn't go with that overly used idea. :)

- You never mentioned anything about sexual abuse, which I'm assuming the part about the bed and pain meant.
A lot of people are uncomfortable with that topic so it might have been best to mention it. I was reading this with my cousin but now she refuses to read, unfortunately.

Thank you for your review. Yes, I am aware that many people are uncomfortable with the topic, which is why any reference to it in my story has been and will continue to be entirely vague. I only intend to provide enough information to make readers aware that something happened in that regard, without providing any detail. Truth be told, I don't know the details myself, nor do I want to. The chapter I most recently posted (chapter 8) is the first that contains any obvious references, so I therefore provided readers with a warning.
I do take your concerns very seriously, and I appreciate you taking the time to inform me of them. I apologize if I've made anyone uncomfortable.

- I noticed that a lot of words need to be changed in order to make sense. Mostly you're either missing a word or have unneeded ones. You really should fix that.
Also, Harry and Teddy's vocab needs work. Some things I noticed are stuff that 7 year olds wouldn't normally say. Mostly just some big words I noticed. :)

- I'm really enjoying this story. The idea of Harry's extended touch is particularly interesting and I'm curious as to how Harry will go about learning magic.

Harry is a survivor in the harsh world of his un-loving family. All he truly desires is to be a normal boy. It appears that Hogwarts offers all that he desires but he quickly learns that despite what he wants everyone else expects him to be a hero. This is Severitus, Hogwarts first year, AU. British spelling is used. Story is completely written so this will not be abandoned.

- I have to say I was surprised, but mostly confused, by the reveal of Moody. I know the man's mad, but this seems seriously overdone. Oh well, fanfics don't have to make sense. :)

When he learns about the Dursleys, Dumbledore forces Snape to adopt Harry. Harry is frightened knowing that Snape and his father were rivals in school, but things are even worse than he had imagined. As Harry learns of the real connection between Snape and his father, the line between good and evil starts to blur. What will Harry do when he learns about how the death eaters started and he finds himself sympathizing with them? Will Snape overcome his horrendous past and give Harry love and support as his world view crumbles around him?

- I really like this so far, which is surprising and great given my standards in concerns to multi chapter stories.
I really like the way you've presented Snape and Harry in this story. Their reactions feel very natural and I'm happy to see that while their emotions are strong you haven't made it seem too dramatic or well, ridiculous.
Hopefully I'll continue to enjoy the other chapters as well. :)
Author's Response: Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the story so far. It is rather long and some people have commented that I tend to ramble too much. Some scenes are included more for the purpose of character development than plot and this has made the chapters longer and longer. I need to find a good balance between the two. This is my first multi chapter story and I'm still learning how to write effectively. Thanks again for commenting and I hope you enjoy the rest of my story.
