Harry Potter is located in London in the dead of night. How exactly did he end up there, and what has he been doing? Well, any kid with half a brain knows not to talk to strangers.

I always look forward to updates on this story :) I think I might agree -- not my favorite chapter, but necessary. I think it's better to write so that the overall story is the best it can be, not so that each individual chapter has tons of excitement.
Great job!
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm really glad you appreciated the chapter, despite its slow pace, and that you understood what my intention was.

Ah I can't wait for Snape to get the whole story! But I actually really appreciate that you're taking your time and not rushing it. Their relationship is building beautifully.

Yay! So glad you updated! I love this story. I thought this scene with Knockturn Alley was rather interesting. I'll be curious to see how or whether it ends of affecting Harry - his realization that he is a bit out of his depth in the wizarding world. I liked your ending - Severus seeming to think something happened, Harry trying to assure him nothing did.

I still love love where this is going. I also really like how you are using Harry to sort of describe the typical manipulative!Dumbledore, yet making Dumbledore (I think?) kind. It's pretty cool.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, I thought it would be interesting to do the opposite of the typical scenario, where Harry trusts Dumbledore while the old man manipulates every detail of his life. Instead, I had Harry think that Dumbledore's manipulating him, while really...

Ah!! So glad for the new chapter, and now so anxious for the next!! I love the journey you are taking us on with Snape and Harry. The interactions, the misunderstandings, the realizations... all great.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I really appreciate your feedback.

hm, I was just thinking about the issue some other reviewers have brought up about the lines, or really the whole page, being overly long in the horizontal direction. Personally, I generally type my stories up on Google Drive and then copy-paste. I don't remember if there is an option for straight uploading, but did you try just copy-pasting? Or perhaps putting your story into a processor with less formatting than Word, such as TextEdit or WordPad/NotePad? I've never tried these, so they might have their own issues, I'm just thinking there may be some formatting thing that got left in and messed with the html script when it got copied over.
Author's Response: Okay, thanks for the advice!
