About me:

I stumbled into Harry Potter fanfic looking for something to read after years of loving the books. Even after HBP, the idea of Snape mentoring or somehow becoming Harry's father/father figure is intriguing to me. I think that his is a very interesting character with unexplored depth in canon.

As for me, well, I'm working on getting into graduate school for creative writing, as that is one of my bachelors degrees and what I enjoy the most. I do write fanfiction, and am currently writing my first try at Harry Potter, even though I'm hopelessly American and I wouldn't want British characters to sound that way. (Knowing my luck and where I'm from, I'd have Harry speaking Southern without too much effort!)

My hobby is restoring My Child dolls from the 1980s and making clothes for them. It's kind of fun to exercise artistic skills that I don't often use anymore. Otherwise, I just write. And it's whatever strikes my fancy at the moment, fanfiction in various fandoms or original fiction.

    Going with absolutely Canon!Snape, the fact that approximately 10% of abused children become abusers themselves, and his absolute obsession with Lily, this makes perfect sense. Very nice, and absolutely logical.

    Oh, Golly!!! I picked the name out at 2:30 in the morning because I was trying to get the chapter out before I went on vacation, and I totally didn't pick up on that gaffe.  Luckily, I saw this review just before I went on vaca and had the whole week to figure out a classy way to fix that while simultaneously moving my plot along.  Thanks for pointing it out!!!

On that fateful Halloween, Severus entered Godric's Hollow to find Voldemort dead and Lily and Harry missing. The mystery sent Sirius Black so insane that he spent the next three years searching for them. He found them. It was not a happy discovery.

Warning, begins with gothic horror but becomes a sweeter story as the chapters go on.

    In both the UK and the US, as a teacher, Severus is a mandated reporter. If he suspects child abuse, he is required by law to report it... at least in the Muggle world. If that's also true in the Wizarding world is up to you...
