About me:

Hi everyone! I'm from Sri Lanka but I live in Italy. I started writing fanfiction beacause I just miss all those wonderful characters I've grown up loving. It's odd not having a new Harry Potter book or movie to look forward to but when I read and write fanfiction it's like I'm finding my old friends again. This is one of the best sites I've found and I'm thrilled by all the fantastic stories I'm reading. Go Severus Snape and Slytherin House!!! [Report This]

"How much do you hate me?" Harry asked Snape. "Infinitely," Snape sneered at him. "How much do you hate Sirius?" "Also, infinitely." "It's commonly understood that there are greater and lesser infinities. Whose infinity is greater?"

The subtext in the conversation between Albus and Severus is delightful. You can feel the tension in the air.

Are Thalium and Prussian blue real chemical substances? You did a fantastic job with the symptoms, the gfalling hair, the stomach aches and finally the vomiting. Very realistic. There's just one thing I son't get. How come Severus isn't as ill as Harry? Weren't they affected by the same potion?

Oh, this is getting intense! Severus is planning to get help from the dark side. That can't end well! Severus words to Harry are immensely touching. He is willing to do anything to save his son!

Author's Response: Yes, Thallium is an element on the periodic table and Prussian Blue is the antidote.  Everything about the poisoning, down to the symtoms and the words they use about it, is entirely accurate.  (Except, perhaps, that it screws up a wizard's magic.  I made that one up.)  Not everyone gets the same symptoms with Tallium poisoning.  I just decided they would get a different spectrum of symptoms.  Ostensibly, Severus would have had more exposure to hazardous substances in general.

Oh my gosh! This is so sweet. Severus is selling his soul to the devil to save Harry! When he have to be a real death eater now? Will he have to kill and torture just to satisfy the dark lord?

Somehow, I hate the Dark Lord for making Severus swear loyalty to him but I hate Dumbledore more. At least he has a reason for being the way he is. He was conceived by a pllovw potion, he cannot love. But Dumbledore? He's committing murder because his parents didn't give him enough attention. The bloody idiot!

So now they both know that they're both related to the Dark Lord. That must've been hard to hear. And Harry calling the Dark Lord grandfather. Fabulous touch!

    Author's Response:

Severus signed up to be a real Death Eater, yes, despite any qualms he might have had about killing and torturing people.

Admittedly, though, Dumbledore is trying to change history and failing miserably, haha.  It's a little deeper than his parents not giving him enough attention even if that was the instigating event.

The mother-son moment is adorable. I love an insecure Severus and the way he couldn't meet Minerva's eyes when he told her the truth is truly beautiful. "I understand if you wish to take your approval from my person." One word: adorable. Minerva being Severus' mother is completely believable too since they both have such stern personalities.

Goodness, this entire chapter is heartbreaking! (But in a deliciously good way.) Severus's heartfelt letter as a true delight to read.

Essential items when reading this story: a very sturdy umbrella + lots and lots of tissues

Author's Response: Aw, I'm glad you liked it!  Insecure Severus is something I really like too.  :)  I'm so sorry I haven't replied to your email!  I promise I'll get to it eventually!

Draco is exchanging anonymous letters with another Hogwarts student, pen named, Id. Id reveals disturbing information about himself, and Draco finds himself personally invested in Id's troubles. WARNING: It takes awhile for there to be much interaction with Harry and Severus.

This is a great story! I love that both Draco and Severus are in it. They are two of my favourite characters. Your characterization of Snape is amazing. He is stern yet overly protective. The perfect combination.

The all powerful Albus Dumbledore is the bad guy. Whatever will poor Severus and Minerva do? I'm intrigued and very interested to know where this story is going. The last sentence you chose to end this chapter is perfect. Thanks for a great read!

Every year it was the same, Severus Snape cleared his face of all emotion, apparated to Privet Drive and visited a little boy whose only desire in the entire world was to have someone that would love him. Halloween Fest Winner 2014

This is an amazing story! Your great writing style made Severus's pain and guilt real. The little unloved child hugging him, the tear that fell down his cheek, and the obliviate at the end were all so heartbreaking. In a completely good way. I am looking forward to reading more of your stories. Great job!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback! :) I'm so glad you enjoyed my story and I hope you like the sequel just as much, I'm working on it now, but I don't know when it will be finished. Have a wonderful 2015!

[Christmas Special 2014] One Christmas Eve, after a particularly unpleasant Occlumency lesson, Severus is visited by a ghost. Lily is furious over how he has treated her son—and determined to make Severus see just how much Harry needs him. Loosely based on "A Christmas Carol".

This is so sweet! Severus wants to be her husband and have kids that look just like her. That is both lovely and heartbreaking since we know its never going to happen. Great chapter!

Severus cowering and stuttering in front of an angry Lily is a great sight indeed. The poor guy just didn't know what to do. I love how you characterized both Lily and Severus.

This is a fantastic story! Severus's change was very believable. In many cases, when he goes from being the mean teacher to the comforting guardian, the change is too sudden, making the situation feel unreal. This does not happen here. This story is certainly very plausible.

I hope you write a sequel since I really want to know how this will continue. Poor Harry must be very shocked indeed. Merry Christmas and thanks for a great story!

Harry's rebellious thoughts are fantastic! He's very strong for going through the abuse and still remaining such a kind-hearted person but his comments showed that he's witty as well. Your characterizaton of Harry is excellently done.

The pace was a little on the slow side but it helps build the anticipation for his encounter with Snape.

The idea of the Dursleys moving to Snape's neighborhood is very original! I'm definitely looking forward to see how this will continue.

    Author's Response:

Thank you! I'm glad you like Harry's rebellious side. I think it's something that many writers forget- Harry is a snarky little bastard!

Personally, I favor slow-paced fics. I expect that I'll pick up the pace on some things, though. These first chapters are all about foreshadowing and setting up the rest of the story. The payoffs will be worth it. <3

You have the challenger to thank for the original idea! Thanks for the review!
