I love that Harry's figured out just who to "Thank" for sending him to the Dursleys, and that he has Dumbledore's measure!!
Terrific chapter - although I'm incredibly worried about Harry's fainting - is it from the pain or something more insidious?!

Your Harry just kills me - always sacrificing himself for others, never believing that anyone else will sacrifice themselves for him, I just want to huggle him and keep him safe!! And Severus is doing just that!! I love your Severus, and I can't wait until he brings down the Wrath of Merlin Himself on that horrible little pervert!! And he can spare a bit of that wrath for Dumbledore too, and make sure that Dumbledore understands that Harry. Isn't. Going. Back. To. The. Dursleys!

Yes!! Harry is finally opening up a bit about the Horrible Dursleys!! I just hope he can give Severus enough ammunition to get him the hell out of there!!
I want the Dursleys to fry!! Heck, I want Dumbledore to fry!! You know, nothing says that Harry 'has' to save the Wizarding World, he certainly is in no way obligated to save people who left him to be abused for his formative years, maybe Severus can point this out to certain parties, and get custody of Harry so he can keep him safe and give him the childhood he deserves!!
As always, a really terrific chapter, and as always, I look forward to the next one whenever you get a chance to get to it!!

This is a fantastic chapter!! I love Luna - I love Canon!Luna, and I think you have captured her voice perfectly!! I've always thought Harry+Luna would be a much better couple than Harry+Ginny - not that I'm hinting of course, I was just kind of getting that vibe!!
And I love the idea of Snape watching out for Luna in his own snarky way!! And now Snape's going to watch out for Harry too!! I love the idea of this story, and I'm looking forward to seeing where you take us!!

- OMG!! I'm completely in tears here, and I want to take Harry home and feed him and give him a BIG HUG!! Poor Harry!!
I really wanted Vernon and Petunia to be Kissed by the Dementors in "Deathly Hallows", and I was so disappointed that they were whisked away to safety - they needed to PAY for their abuse of Harry, and I don't understand what JKR was on about when she let them off scott free.
Hopefully Snape will be able to help Harry through this 'nightmarish' time (Hee! A Pun!), and I love that Luna has come to help!! Go Luna!!

The line where she told Harry they were in a "Magic Cupboard" and that "Nobody's a freak, here" left me sniffling back tears!!
Poor Harry - I hope he does sleep now, and wakes up on the other side of his delirium!!
See - even Luna, who is the kindest, sweetest girl ever knows that the Dursleys need to be taken out to the woodshed!! I am feeling very vindicated!! LOL!!

Author's Response: Yes, I've been thinking about the Dursleys ever since then, actually. I think perhaps it would be a good idea to infest their house with tinglewasps, they're invisible and their sting contains a venom that gives nightmares at night and chills and odd visions during the day. I'll have to ask Professor Snape what he thinks, but I suspect he'll be quite keen. Love, Luna

Poor Harry - having to put up with Vernon's abuse again - maybe Snape can Hex his hands to fall off if he touches Harry again!!
The conversation between Severus and Dumbledore was fantastic - it really conveyed the regret Albus had when he realized what his decisions had let Harry in for, even though his reasons for not taking Harry in himself make only too much sense given what occurred in 'Deathly Hallows'!
I guess I'm glad that Snape didn't kill Vernon - it's be hard to hide that whale's body after all (Hee!), and I love that his first instinct was to go comfort Harry, and leave off torturing Vernon until Harry's not around to see it (*crosses fingers*)!
And Snape's got a soft spot for Luna - YES!! I'm so glad that someone's looking out for her, since it seems like Flitwick can't be arsed to do it! I do hope that Harry's not feeling to awkward around Luna like he's currently feeling around Snape, although I suppose Harry would find it difficult to be seen as being so weak in front of him, even given their new détante.
As for your response, just hearing from you yourself would be fine, as I'm afraid that Snape would give me detention for not going back and putting Professor in front of his name every time I typed it!! LOL!!

Snape has something rather more inventive in mind for Vernon Dursley. :-)
And, yes, Harry feels much differently about being vulnerable in front of Luna than he does about being vulnerable in front of Snape. Like chalk and cheese, really.
I am glad you enjoyed the dialogue between Snape and Dumbledore, because it's very important to me to get across that Dumbledore is not a villain, and that he loves Harry very much.

The conversation between Harry and Severus was absolutely terrific!! Slightly!Drunk!Severus is a gem - telling Harry stories about his mother, giving Harry a sense of Sev's own history without polishing it or apologizing for it or trying to excuse it - AWESOME!!
Harry's apology, while slightly convoluted, was extremely heartfelt, and Severus realizing that Harry's self-worth meter is set at Minus-1-million made me tear up a little!!
Really a tremendous chapter - I'm feeling at this point that there is a good chance that Harry and Severus will be able to develop a strong positive relationship, even given all the baggage they are both carrying into it!!

- Holy Sh*t!! Poor Luna!! Poor Harry!! I can't wait to see Severus come down like the **Wrath Of God** on those Slytherin troublemakers!!
I love how you always have Dumbledore's great plots end in ruin - he spends far too much time and effort based on how he THINKS people are going to react, instead of how they actually DO react!! Hopefully Severus will put his foot down firmly on Dumbledore's NEXT great idea!! He needs to nip the idiocy in the bud!!
I'm breathless from the action in this chapter - Well Done!!
