I'm sorry you're ill - I am also suffering with the flu from h*ll, so you have my complete sympathy!! I'm trying to keep mine from turning into pneumonia, so I'm mainlining Advil Cold and Flu meds and NyQuil Cough Syrup - I highly recommend both of these products if you're suffering terribly, although the NyQuil always causes my sister to sleepwalk and rave about the house - I really need a videocam!! LOL!!
I hope you're feeling better soon, so you can SAVE HARRY!! **grins**

Whew!! What a roller coaster ride of a chapter!! This was absolutely fantastic - I was so worried/saddened about poor little Tortured!Harry when the chapter began and now I'm almost giddy with relief!!
I hope we get some quality cuddles (and confessions!) in the next chapter, and I hope you're finally on the mend!!

- "Hullo Daddy" OMG!! I laughed so hard when I read that - Harry is going to be in such trouble!! I'm so glad that Severus came back and gave Harry a cuddle when he was being so fractious with Albus - Harry really needed that reassurance, and I was completely thrilled when Severus gave it to him = he's really not his father!!

Poor little Harry - I was afraid he was in for it, and I was right!! Leave it to Severus to have a punishment 'method' down to counting the smacks and timing to corner sitting!! LOL!!
Still, I'm glad that Severus always takes time to comfort Harry after his punishments - I little cuddle goes a long way into making sure Harry doesn't feel unloved just because he's done something wrong!!
Go Albus!! Harry really does need something to keep him occupied so he's not running around unsupervised like a little wild man!! I'm sure Severus will have some vague (or not so vague) threats for Hagrid should anything happen to Harry under his supervision!!

- OMG!! What a fantastic story!! I just love this idea - that Harry could have been, should have been happy, and that changing one thing sets in motion changes that no one expects!! Your treatment of the subject is particularly exceptional, and I am in awe of your work!!
Your characters are 'in character' with just slight adjustments from where you veer from canon, and it is very easy to see how each might have turned out this way given their changed circumstances! (Oh dear, I hope that came out right **squints** I think that says what I meant to say, which is basically BRAVO!)
Yes Please!! Put me down for more snippets, hell, put me down for a series of fics in this AU that covers each year at Hogwarts, as well as more time with Wee!Harry and Papa!Severus!!
Hmm... Maybe a glimpse of a happier Christmas for the poor little mite? Maybe meeting Moony for the first time, with Severus pacing nervously in the background with his hand clenched around his hidden wand? Maybe Severus going toe to toe with Dumbledore over one of his manipulation attempts? Maybe a Young!Harry and Young!Draco sitting around wondering why their Mom and Dad never remarried each other so they could be 'real' brothers? Maybe Narcissa and Sirius and Severus trying to explain Bellatrix to Young!Harry - say what does happen to Mad!Bella anyway? Maybe a glimpse of a non-obese, non-bullying Dudley (since his parents didn't have to spoil him rotten to overcompensate for having a 'freak' in their house)? Maybe Neville and Draco being friends at Hogwarts? Maybe Luna and Harry becoming friends much earlier than 5th year? Maybe Severus smiting the ever-living crap out of a possessed Quirrell, or laying the smackdown on publicity hound Lockhart, or smelling polyjuice on 'Moody's' breath? I gather Severus doesn't become a teacher and the 'greasy git' of the dungeons, but are the Slytherins treated any better since the Chosen One is among their ranks, or are they still ostracized and booed at each Sorting as little Death Eaters in training - enquiring minds want to know!! LOL!!
So I think you could certainly expand greatly on this universe, whenever you have time obviously (no pressure!), and I will add you as a favorite author so I'll know when/if you do post something else!! Thank you again for sharing this wonderful story with us!!

- OMG!! You are killing me here!! Severus just has to survive, right, Please?! I mean, I know it will probably be a fairly long recovery given the severity of his injuries, but surely he will recover?! Harry and Severus have just gotten to a really good place with each other, and it would just devastate Harry if he lost his father now!! And Severus' mind - please tell me you're not cruel enough to have destroyed his mind!! I'm flailing in trauma at the very thought!! Also, I'm hoping that Lucius won't be caught out, and hurt or killed too - as I don't know what Draco would do either!!
I really love this story, although the last few chapters are making me hyperventilate, and I'm sorry not to have reviewed before now to let you know how fantastic I think it really is!! Truly a tremendous accomplishment, and I 'm looking forward to more, especially the saving Severus part!! **Hee!**

Severus is back! YAY! I'm so glad you're happy. Fatal illnesses...no! I'm not that mean. I know it was mean but it has been so healing for Severus and for Harry eventually as well. Severus never could have reached so relaxed a place with his son if not for his experience with Lily and Harry bringing him home. It was all worth it.
I'm glad you liked it so much. I enjoyed writing it so much. It was definitely cathartic for me. :o)

- What a fantastic story!!
I'm really loving how you have Harry talk about the everyday things, but you make them so real that they seem extraordinary!!
Poor Harry is breaking my heart, how he takes being hit or ignored or starved in his stride like it's nothing, because to him it is nothing out of the ordinary!!
I have to wonder what Petunia is setting Harry up for, with the new clothes and the food and the attention - I just hope it doesn't make things worse for Harry in the end!!
Definitely looking forward to more - I do hope that when Severus shows up he won't be a complete arse to poor Harry!!
