a respond to Spring Fic Fest! "What makes the little bastard think I don't care about him?"
That was the question that Severus Snape asked himself everyday since last week. The question that revolved around his son's latest temper tantrum since last week. And the same damn question that didn't leave him alone no matter what he did.
He even woke up with the thought swirling in his mind. What had he done to make Harry think he was being neglected?

SEQUEL to “The Last Will and Testament of Lily Evans” and “Lily’s Last Wish.” Harry is kidnapped and tortured, and Snape is left to try and pick up the pieces and prepare Harry for the final battle. This is the third story in the series.

- So, has he actually been kidnapped--and if so, how did the kidnappers get through the wards... could Dobby have accidentally given them a way?
Or maybe he's come down with something, and this is fever-induced delirium combined with him wandering off.

- I'm glad to see Severus making progress with Harry, even if it is necessarily slow progress. Severus is definitely the right person to help him.
He's used to settling for less, but he won't be doing so this time.

- Interesting! I've read other Ravenclaw!Harry fics, but never a Ravenclaw!Ron fic before. Although there's no reason why not--Ron can be intelligent, he just doesn't usually bother to be so. But now he'll be forced to think.
It'll be fun to see them both in the house of eagles!
When the Dursley home is found to be unsuitable for Harry, Dumbledore implores his Potions Master to take the boy in, for the sake of the promise he made to Lily. Another Snape-adopts-Harry story, set Pre-Hogwarts. Harry is 8. Pairings TBD. Dursley abuse is close to canon.

- Hm, I wonder how close Lucius Malfoy will actually get to adopting Harry, before Severus puts a stop to it.
Great fic!
After little Harry Potter runs away from his relatives’ home for the sixth time, Albus decides something drastic must happen. Instead of sending a friendly witch from family services like he had done before, he sends Severus Snape in hopes of scaring the boy into staying put. But when a blizzard interferes with plans, Severus learns why Harry keeps running away and a change of plans ensues.

Harry Potter has created the perfect Boy Who Lived persona. He's learned to hide behind the mask, but what happens when it starts to crumble? Harry is determined not to find out especially not now that he's been forced into Occlumency lessons with his least favorite professor. Will Snape be able to see through the cracks to a boy who is just barely hanging on?

- Interesting to see a fic where Harry really does act the way Severus perceives him to be!
I kinda wanted to slug Harry when he said, "And it's not like muggles can really understand just how important I am." Even if he was saying it as part of his mask, that's just obnoxious.

- It'll be interesting to see how long Harry can keep up his pretences. Of course, his act will be helped along by the fact that Severus already believes that Harry is spoiled by the Dursleys, and confirming someone's pre-held belief is easier than getting that person to believe something they consider shocking... but Severus is too clever, he'll figure it out anyway.
