The Ministry removes Harry from the 'care' of the Dursley's at the age of three, placing him in the 'National Harry Potter Exhibit and Museum'. Harry spends six years blissfully unaware that every day dozens of people are paying to watch him go about his day through spelled walls. His every whim is catered to by a team of five caretakers, until the Ministry decides to close the exhibit down. Harry is placed in the care of Severus Snape, who must reverse the boy's spoiled upbringing and teach him to be a normal child again.

Great story so far. I have enjoyed reading it, and I think your Snape is very well done. It's how I picture him too. Can't wait for the chapter!

Thanks to James' sacrifice, Lord Voldemort is defeated. Lily barely survives and is rescued by Severus. Years later Harry struggles to live side by side with his hateful and unforgiving stepfather in a very troubled household. Unbeknownst to both much greater challenges lie ahead.

I am so happy to see another chapter of this story. I absolutely love this one and World of Grey Clouds as well (any chance we'll see an update there too?). I'm sorry you are not feeling well and hopefully you will see the end of it soon.
One of favorite things on this chapter was Harry's reaction to Lupin as an teacher of dubious character. That just made me smile. Even after this chapter I still have a bit of an inkling that Lupin could be up to something, but I may be reading too much into it.
I am so curious to see what will happen with Aofie, the painting and all of that.
It feels like Snape is starting to express his care towards Harry differently and I wished we would have seen more of a gradual development there rather than out of the blue. I think Snape has always cared for Harry in his own way and has a hard time expressing his emotions, but the outward change seemed a bit abrupt. As far as the plot too I feel like all that tension and build up got a little deflated in the last chapters. These are only minor things though and I absolutely love your story. Thanks for sharing your time and talent!

Oh, I loved, loved, loved it! This is back to the same standard that the first chapters were, and with that on the edge of your seat type of feels.
I'm sad for Harry that Lily died, but at the same time it just created that extra push, hopefully for Severus and Harry to be closer, and I am glad you made that choice. You are also doing a great job of making Severus more human and describing his sorrow.
I can't wait to see what happens next, and I think I'll take one of those cookies now..or maybe 10 lol.

Oh, Harry I don't know if that's a great idea. I could almost see him ending up in slytherin due to his scheming, or just simply to annoy Snape. Great job on this chapter, and the story so far. I look forward to more.
I don't see Snape as 100% evil in your story. I mean, he's obviously not the nicest guy, but he does have some boundaries and I think there is still some good left in him in relation to Harry. I don't know of that is the direction you are taking your story, but I think with some external pressure they could come to see that deep down despite their fears and shortcomings they do trust and care for each other.
I think Harry does trust Snape somewhat (he still tells him when Aoife treats him bad, asks for food etc.) and he is the closest thing to a father that he has. Snape is not nice to Harry emotionally but perhaps that is somewhat due to fair of a James Potter clone or being rejected? Physically he is strict but he doesn't beat the crap out of him or anything like that. I think he would help/rescue/care for Harry should the situation be really dire.
I'd almost like to see Snape going away a few days and upon returning walking in on Aoife being abusive to Harry. Or Harry deciding to run away into a werewolf infested forest, or something similar frightening and knowing that he will be in major trouble but still trusting Snape enough to return or be found and seeking out comfort that Snape would hopefully return.
Ramblings aside, great job and I look forward to more.

Yay, I was so excited to see another chapter, and that you are continuing this story. That sounds quite scary indeed. I hope they do not persist any further.
Lovely chapter as usual. I was happy to see the introductory paragraph with hints to some possible concern on Snape's side for Harry's well being. Like I have said before I think that deep down and with the right motivation he does care for the boy. His own fears and general dislike of James just makes his efforts and attentions often misplaced.
I also still believe that Harry does trust and rely somewhat on Snape, even though he might not like it. I think with a lot of work and rough road ahead he could grow close enough to him to have a father-son relationship. It would take work from both and probably also some external pressure.
I'm glad you had him get lost in Knockturn Alley. I was actually hoping for that. I have a feeling that there are 2 people that are not very happy with him for running off though. I was almost hoping for a Snape rescue, but Hagrid's great too.
I look forward to the next chapter and I'm also curious where Harry will be sorted.
I wonder if Snape will realize Aofie's treatment of Harry at some point or walk in on her hurting him, or pushing him down the stairs or anything like that causing the broken arm. I'm sure Snape would have some nasty potion for that.
    Great job!

I am so sad to see that you want to delete your story. It really is too bad that what I assume are a few people can cause this for both author and readers. I think this story so far has been great. It is original, well-written and realistically deals with a side that we don't see very often. I hope that in the future you may post it again and know that many people truly enjoy it. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.
Here are my thoughts on the chapter..This chapter, as your other ones, was great. I think Harry went a tad bit too far when he took Snape's wand. I think he does still have a little bit of hope and trust in Snape since he is still trying to provoke a reaction from the man. If he didn't care at all I think he wouldn't even bother trying.
The adoption could be interesting should they go though with it. I wonder if it would somehow (maybe through blood or magic) change Snape's view of Harry a little. Maybe he would be prompted to feel concern or responsibility for him in certain situations unwillingly or unexpectedly. I still feel there's a little bit of good left in their troubled relationship.

Great story! Can't wait to see where this ends up and what challenges they face. I hope it will make them stronger.

That was intense! Excellent job on this chapter, and as always it is great to see an update. You write so well.
I definitely think this is Aofie's true colors. She is quite malicious and step above Snape for sure. It seemed like she was taking some of her resentment of Snape out on Harry. It's like down the food chain it goes. I wonder if she will try to do something to Lily and play innocent, or have Harry take the blame?
I also wonder who cut the painting? Maybe there's more to it.
And, wow, Harry and Snape's relationship seems to be going from bad to worse. I am quite curious to see what Harry will come up with to try to get expelled from Hogwarts. Although most of the blame is on Snape, and the comment of him almost killing his mother was out of line, Harry is quite defiant as well. I can see that Snape sometimes tries, and at times is concerned. They could benefit from some outside pressure brining them together and learn to rely on each other.
Great work, great job and I can't wait for the next update.

Oh that was ridiculous, ridiculously well written! You had me at the edge of my seat the whole entire time!! You are doing such a great job with the angst, the darkness all of it.
I had a feeling that this would happen, that Snape would get blamed for it...and I love that you don't make it easy. Of course I would have wished for Harry to have told the truth, at least when he was confronted by Snape, but this just makes the story so much better.
I would think that Dumbledore at least has more faith in Snape than to think that he was responsible for the curse. Minerva I could see being a little quick to jump to conclusions and that's just part of her character.
I wonder if they will open some sort child welfare investigation? or if the headmaster will research further? I just really hope they do not send Harry home to Aofie because that would be even worse and I don't think he could protect Lily. I also hope they don't fire Snape...I would love for him to be able to talk to Harry again, to see how scared the boy really is. One of their major common factors that they have going for them is their love for Lily. I'm sure you have this all figured out though:)
I really, really can't wait for the next chapter and I hope it's up soon.

Excellent chapter again. I just wish there was more!! You are spot on with everyone's emotions. The straightforwardness and brusqueness of McGonagall, the childish (not in a bad way, more meant as a child would think) and fearful Harry, concerned but not able to express it/let go of his fears and resentment Snape and then Dumbledore always in the background letting everything play out with a slight meddling here and there. I just can't tell you enough how much I love your story.
I am so glad that Harry decided to go to Snape, and that Snape showed the slightest amount of interest. I do think he cares, but is a bit afraid of letting himself feel and get hurt too. I hope that at some point in the future they will realize maybe through their love of Lily or fear of loosing each other will come to realize that they do care about each other. I do think Snape made progress and he came across as somewhat caring. It is just hard for Harry to see because of his past experiences with the man, and the fact that a child may not always understand what adults do, especially with the lack of trust between them. I hope that in the future they will grow closer and have a relationship based on trust and care. I'm sure it will not happen immediately, but I will enjoy the rocky journey there. I hope!
I'm curious about Lily's letters to Harry. Is she okay or is it Aofie speaking? I doubt that Aofie's abuse will stop with Harry, and when he's not there she may find another target. I wonder what Lily will look like when they come home for christmas.
I also wonder if there is a connection with the slashed painting, Aofie and now this mysterious stranger.
My thoughts were that it could be Lupin, but what would he be doing there? Maybe something to do with the stone? Or is he there to speak with Harry? The suspense is killing.
Really, great job and I'll be anxiously awaiting the next chapter.
