My name is Laura. I'm a fultime college student and I work part time at a doctors office. I started reading the Harry Potter series a couple of years ago (long after it had become popular). Originally, I wasn't going to be dragged into a fad... but then the book was just sitting on the footstood and I was really quite bored. Five books later I was attached (the sixth has since come out, I'm not so sure about that one). My friend Nefla kept sending me links to a fanfic she called AYLNO. I didn't know what that was all about, and kept shrugging her off. It wasn't until she came over and started reading the fic to me, that I finally started reading AYLNO (A Year Like None Other). The story was really quite long (completed now, by Aspen in the Sunlight, go read it if you haven't) and I spent every waking moment finishing the story.. Once I was done, I felt really quite sad, I wanted more...

So I started writing my own story. Harry Potter and the Ferratilis Potion. I'm trying to be creative with it, although it mirrors AYLNO in many ways. It's a Snape adopts Harry fic, (and a Draco will be in there somewhere). My friend Nefla pesteres me daily to write, so I suppose there'd be no fic without her influence. Along the way, I picked up an awesome beta, Sunsethill. She keeps my grammer in tact and my story flowing.

I've also gotten quite interested in kidfics, I find little Harry very cute. I briefly deaged Harry (to a young age) in HP and the F. Potion, but I wanted to do more. So I've just started my second story, A Potions Accident, is going to be a cute little kidfic. All of you who read my first story, never fear, I won't abandon it. This second story is more of my "just for fun" story. Not that both aren't fun... but A Potions Accident will be a lot less formal. I won't worry about technicalities and the plot may be a bit random. Just a bunch of cute little kids...

I also wrote a one-shot, Braving Spiders which was my first challenge response... it's an Sevitus.

Ah, and my pet (coming soon as Jan says) is named Petrie. (And he is very cute, trust me...)

    I think it was wonderful. As usual, your Harry is really cute and very toddleresk. I think your interaction between Snape and Sirius is really good... things really are escalating between them. Dumbledore standing up and hushing them all-- that was cool. I think a lot of fanfics forget just how much strength the old man has. I can't wait till you update again!

Voldemort's dead and life is great. Isn't it? Harry's not so sure. There's always a new problem but the trouble is that sometimes figuring out what the right thing to do about it can be tricky... Sequel to Taniwha and Chrysalid.

    Um a review... It's hard to think what to say. I really like all three of these stories. They really are creative. I bet you could even substitute in some original characters in the place of the HP ones and publish it...

    Hello, I found your fic fully posted on another site... (After the Snape incident, who could blame me?) So mwa ha ha, I finished it. And to be honest, I nearly cried, I didn't want it to be over T_T. Your trilogy is really amazing, so original. I love it. It really should be a 4 logy or something... but well, everything is wrapped up so... ack. Well, really good fics, and I'm rambling so I'll stop now.

    I love the ending... Snape with a little family is sooo cute. I like how you ended everything. It's amazing how far you took the story, from the basic HP story to something so different. I loved it, it was really original. You really deserve a lot of reviews showering you with praise... great work!     Wow, the best story ever (in my opinion) comes to potions and snitchs... I wonder how long it will take for your story to get featured? I feel compelled to let you know that I started writing my own story when AYLNO ended and I had to suffer till ASLNO came out. (aka you inspired me)

    Oh a comment about your chapter. I like how your story starts out slow (not boring) and introduces us to the characters/situations in a normal way. (Not the fanfic way where suddenly the HP world is turned upside down).

    In my opinion however, I think that you should combine some of your earlier chapters into longer ones (not that it really matters now... since they're written anyway). But these first few chapters seem more like seperate scenes than seperate chapters.

    Using Remus' form was such a good idea to bring Harry and Snape to better terms. As you've mentioned, Harry feels more comfortable opening up, speaking his mind... And then Snape, forced to act as Remus, has to actually listen to what Harry has to say. I think this is a perfect way to get Harry and Snape to know each other. It's brilliant.

    If he gawked at the hospital equipment like a two-year-old discovering the loo, Harry's family would know he was a wizard for sure.

    This is my favorite line from this chapter. It's such a funny comparison for Snape. I wonder how Snape would react if he found out what Harry was thinking.
