Severus Snape was discovered as a spy mere days before the start of the school year. Thankfully, Albus had been working on a vague contingency plan for this possibility. It had been inspired by the question, “What would it take for Severus Snape to see that he was wrong about Harry Potter?”
The answer? Force Severus to go undercover as Alfonse “Eli” Hopkirk, a sixth year Gryffindor.

- Wow, can't believe the story is over. I really appreciate how regular your updates were, because that doesn't happen too often for WIPs I follow. Bu even waiting for those small gaps were torture, because I really kept on wanting to know what happened!
I'm sad I didn't to see more detail about the battle, like how did Remus and Moody die, but I suppose that's how battles are, fast, confusing and messy.
I liked the scenes involving Sirius the most, and its quite sad that Dumbledore had to die. And boy was I glad you announced there is going to be a sequel, I was screaming before I read the authors note, it simply couldn't end like that. Eagerly awaiting that as well.
thank you for writing it, I had a fun time following this story, I feel honoured to be part of its journey.
Author's Response: yeah I know that irregular update schedule struggle from the view of a reader, so I did my best to avoid doing it as an author! it's good to hear that someone appreciated it! and yeah I will admit that part of the chaos of the battle is just because that's how battles are, but it's also partially because I am. not a fan. of writing action like that. it takes a lot of work for me, and I'm rarely all that happy with the outcome, so I tend to take a shortcut because, well, I am writing for fun. I'm really glad you liked the scenes with Sirius! he was so much fun to write because I kept imagining his pov the entire time. a part of me wants to write what happened at king's cross from sirius's pov, but i think i have too many other things to write at the moment, unfortunately. and I knew people would be antsy about the ending, so i had to reassure you! thank you so much for reviewing consistently! i really appreciate it <3

- I really enjoyed this story! I was not expecting this to be the bad news Snape was going to deliver, and woah it worked so well. Sirius behaved perfectly, that is exactly what to do when your archenemy gives you bad news. I'm so up for a continuation as well, but nevertheless, I'm glad you released this one-shot into the void :D

- This is a such a unique take on what Snape's relationship with James during their Hogwarts years could have been like, the way you managed to fit it in is nothing short of awesome. The portrayal of Voldemort's rise is also great, though it does change canon a little bit, but I'm all for it!
“It’s like playing a game,” Harry said. “A judging game. You sit and listen and at the end of the day you’ll decide whether Severus Snape deserves to die or not.”
His father had spent his whole life trying to protect Harry from the outside world, from himself, at the expense of his own life. Now it was Harry's turn to at least try.

- I'm so invested in this story, you have me on the edge of my seat for updates. The concept of Harry being at odds with Shacklebot intrigued me at first, like how could that possibly happen, and reading more has got me so many questions that I can't wait to be answered. Looking forward for more insight into Harry and Severus's domestic life and what happened. Love!

Can I just say your transitions to the flashbacks are beautiful. They invoke images of movie scenes where the colour shifts to indicate a different timeframe perfectly.
Cool idea, the two way mirror. Love the chapter, the plot gets intriguing by the minute.

I'm quite taken with Cleo so far. Did not imagine from the first chapter that Snape actually did NOT have a special interest in Cleo (outwardly at least). I feel very sorry for her situation, the DADA professor is really a piece of work. 500 points?! That's insane. It will be interesting to see how Cleo's relationship with Snape will develop.
Looks like Harry overheard Draco's conversation with Cleo, wonder what he thinks about it. Can't wait for more, I'm hungry, this is so good. I was ecstatic when you wrote that you already had 14 chapters written up. Thank so much for your hardwork!
