This was nicely done. I enjoyed Harry watching Snape interact with the little Slytherin. His appeal to Snape was heartbreaking. I love that Snape is still Snape- task-master and disciplinarian, yes, but not a villain. He is so exactly the sort of parent that Harry needs. I would love to see this continued someday, but unlike most of the other one-shots I have read in the contest, this one can stand alone since it reads like a complete work. I'm giving it my first ten.
When Harry woke up after an injury there were suddenly colors around every living person. So many colors. But then he saw it: a flash of gold in endless black. He wanted to see more of it.

- This is very sweet, and I don't just mean the chocolate cake. The interactions between Snape and Molly were just lovely. I loved Harry's dessert based conclusions at the end.
Harry finds himself at the mercy of the Ministry of Magic after his claims that he is hearing voices are made public. Deprived of his magic and held prisoner in his own body, Harry must wait for a mysterious Healer to help him find his way.

- I enjoyed this so much I signed up just to be able to review. Your Snape was impressively on point. I liked your FOC Healer Popplestock who probably was thankful that someone came to break Harry out of there. I know this is a one-shot for a contest but it has the potential to be so much more. I hope you will consider adding to this one day if your muse is willing. I'm giving this an eight because I mark far more like Snape than Hagrid. You have exceeded my expectations. Best of luck!
