If only! Of course, the books would have been a lot shorter...
Author's Response: so true! it does make me wonder though what the books WOULD have been like if Snape and Harry had been able to get along...hmm...I guess that is why fanfiction exists! :) thanks for your review!

Well done! That was a much more lucid explanation of the Power He Knows Not than we ever heard from Dumbles.
Author's Response: Thank you!

Oh if only!
This was nicely done. I enjoyed Harry watching Snape interact with the little Slytherin. His appeal to Snape was heartbreaking. I love that Snape is still Snape- task-master and disciplinarian, yes, but not a villain. He is so exactly the sort of parent that Harry needs. I would love to see this continued someday, but unlike most of the other one-shots I have read in the contest, this one can stand alone since it reads like a complete work. I'm giving it my first ten.

I liked this as the start of a longer story. I hope that is what this becomes. It really doesn't feel complete.
Ron hides under the kitchen table at Grimmauld Place and finds out something unbelievable.

This is very sweet, and I don't just mean the chocolate cake. The interactions between Snape and Molly were just lovely. I loved Harry's dessert based conclusions at the end.

I enjoyed this so much I signed up just to be able to review. Your Snape was impressively on point. I liked your FOC Healer Popplestock who probably was thankful that someone came to break Harry out of there. I know this is a one-shot for a contest but it has the potential to be so much more. I hope you will consider adding to this one day if your muse is willing. I'm giving this an eight because I mark far more like Snape than Hagrid. You have exceeded my expectations. Best of luck!
Author's Response: Thanks Ophelia! I must admit that when I finished this piece last night, I went to bed thinking about more plot. I'm not very good at just writing a simple one-shot, it turns out...
