After Dumbledore’s death, Hogwarts has to be evacuated to ensure a proper turnover of the wards. Accordingly, McGonagall announces that everyone must leave for the winter holidays. With Bellatrix still on the loose, Harry has little desire to endanger his friends by going home with them, so he resigns himself to a terrible holiday spent with the Dursleys.
Thankfully for him, Severus has been on the alert ever since he had uncovered bits and pieces of Harry’s childhood. When he discovers where Harry has gone, he immediately sets about putting the situation to rights.

Harry doesn’t think living in the orphanage is that bad, but he’s tired of being picked on for having no one that wants him. When someone sends word they want to adopt a young wizard, Harry leaves the orphanage to go to his new home. The problem is, there’s been a mistake. Severus Snape would never have requested to adopt Harry Potter, and now that he’s there, he doesn’t want to keep him.

- I really enjoyed binging on this. Wouldn't mind seeing more of this universe. And Snape realizing not just that he likes and wants to do right by Harry but actually loves him.
Uncle Vernon’s acting weird, and Snape has designs on making Harry the most obedient student Hogwarts has ever seen. Harry just wants a quiet summer to himself and to earn the money he needs for his school supplies, but he could only hope for something so simple. Entry into the Bingo Card Fic Fest.

Dumbledore is reaching the end of his time and needs to ensure someone will take care of Harry after the headmaster is gone. An incident in the Forbidden Forest where Snape must care for an injured Harry without using magic sets in motion far reaching changes in their lives and in the magical world.
