About me:

Greetings from Virginia! I began reading Harry Potter fanfiction in 2006, and P&S is my favorite site by far! As a writer, I just hope that my readers will enjoy my stories. I always appreciate it when people take the time to leave a review!

My hobbies include reading (of course!), quilting, Star Trek (TOS being my fave series), and I've recently begun studying Esperanto online.

I love cats, although I no longer have my own. But 26 cats have shared my life since I was a young child, and I have a plethora of wonderful, zany, and sometimes bizarre memories! (During the pandemic, I discovered a wonderful YouTube channel in Turkey--if you are a cat lover, please check out the "walter santi" YouTube channel and prepare to fall head over heels with numerous cats, plus Walter the dog! Santi is the white indoor cat.)

Alan Rickman is forever in my heart. 🐢

With a strange potion, new location and the odd Muggle Studies Professor along for the ride, Harry's in for an interesting summer, but why is Snape here? Dumbledore had better pray he gets all three back in one piece! Humor, Angst, No Mary Sues, No Romance, no real plot.

Harry and the two sinks in the master bath -- reminded me of the antique bathroom sink at my paternal grandparents' home: it had two faucets (each with its own spigot), one for cold water on the right, and one for hot water on the left. Simple enough to make warm water by putting the rubber stopper in the drain hole, then running water from both faucets into the sink basin. But in a pinch, to get "warm" water without taking time to fill the sink, you could turn on both faucets and shuttle your cupped hands back and forth from cold to hot to cold to hot very quickly, so as not to get burned by the hot! Many people today have never encountered such a sink, but it was very cutting edge back in the early days of indoor plumbing! Thanks for the memories! 😺

Goat Rebellion!!!!! 😆 Honestly, Hoppity and Harry probably share some common ancestor who has a massive storytelling gene... I was guffawing loudly as I read through Hoppity's tale!

I've truly enjoyed catching up on the updated chapters since I last read your story -- I remember reading about Harry having to lie down on a mat at school, but all the chapters after that one were new and exciting! I wasn't at all sure whether I liked the character of Hoppity when I first started this story, but I've grown to love her as she's grown into her role as Harry's "mum". And it's fascinating to watch Snape mellowing a tiny bit at a time! He'll always be Snape, of course, but he does show a sympathetic side to Harry as time goes on. Will Harry ever get his hands on a box of sugary cereal? Will the snidget lay any eggs? (I know Snape is calling it a "him", but could it be a lady bird?? 😁) Looking forward to any and all future chapters! This has been a great summer read!

A small look into what may be a happy memory to Harry and Snape both with a little snow added.

Whoa! You really had me going for a few moments! No! Not a traitor! Not Snape! (I actually tried to remember if this story fell into the "Enemies" category...) My blood ran COLD until I'd read a bit further. Quite a chapter!!!

I started reading this story a while back, got sidetracked by real life, and finally started reading from Chapter 1 all over again. I thoroughly enjoyed the detailed development of plot, action, and characterization. Your ORIGINALITY SHONE throughout! This will always be one of my favorites! THANKS for a great ride! :-)

Silence is deafening, isn't it? Especially with Snape breathing down your neck.

Wow! When I caught this on the "Story of the Moment", I had no idea how much I'd get into it, given the fact that it's been about 5 years since the last update. However, I loved it! Actually, make that: LOVE it-- since I hope you'll consider continuing the story after having had a break! :-D Seriously, one of your major strengths is drawing your readers into the story-- an amazing feat to do it SO WELL in chapters this short! Your focus remains tightly upon action and emotion, and that drives your train at high speed, while your audience can only hang on for the ride, wondering where you're taking them next! /// Just as an aside, I noticed that many of your early reviewers are different from those who are currently actively reviewing; also, there are many new members (more than 400 more since I joined in Sept 2009!) who would be interested in your story! It has SO MUCH POTENTIAL! Please consider giving it (& us) another shot! Thanks!

SEQUEL TO "KEPT BEHIND" Harry might have survived his ordeal as a disembodied spirit, but when the Order is jeopardized by one of its own, Harry must risk everything to save the one that once saved him... even if that person is Snape

One of my all-time fave series! Yes, I'd love to see this continue! Really want to know how Snape reacts to his "rescue" by Harry, and the means by which he accomplished it. Also, since Harry can still feel his connection to Snape, that opens up doors to future possibilities for storylines... 😉

Snape knows Harry Potter's eyes. He knows how they've changed and how come they have. Yet Snape can't escape the memory of the young Harry who he met over old Chinese food, stolen bandages, and a dislocated shoulder. Wait and Hope for the world's end.

Found this on Story of the Moment & so glad I clicked on it! I love the interaction between Snape and Harry in both realms, the comparison/contrast between both, and their mutual acknowledgement at the end. Especially, I liked the fact that Harry had kept and WORN Snape's belt through the years. It was the one item he'd owned that wasn't Dudley's first, a gift (as it were) from the only person Harry could remember trying to help him during the hard years of his childhood. I'm sure Harry must have known all along that Snape was his benefactor, even before he suffered the detention injury, and despite Snape's treatment of him since First Year, he still wore the man's belt. That's awesome! Oh, to be a fly on the wall of Harry's brain, knowing that there was far more to the Potions Master than what met the eye...

War has destroyed the ministry, Dumbledore's mind is no longer reliable, Harry is tired of war and Snape must decide if it will end.

Wow! The story may be short, but it gives one a lot to think about! I read it through twice, & I really got even more out if it the second time. Really interesting that Snape, not Dumbledore, ended up with the decision, even though Harry wanted to call the shots. Very thought provoking-- well done!
