About My Stories
Death of Bloodlines: (WIP started 4-10-10) This fic began with the theory of Severus being Harry's birth father. I did not want to go with the usual Lily and Snape- had an affair, were secretly married, or were paired in a Death Eater Orgy with captured Muggleborns. Of course with this I also hold a fascination for the potentials of Potions and particularly with the potential of Polyjuice Potion. This will be the result of that musing.

About My Interests

Favored Genres:
Slytherin Based- Harry develops a close relationship of any type with a Slytherin; be it friendly, romantic, or familial
First Time, Marriage and Courtship- Harry is required marry or agree to a courtship (preferably to a Slytherin) and the relationship development, especially if it is Harry's first time
Superpower/Creature Fics- Harry turns into a magical creature, comes into a magical inheritance, or develops superior powers through his own actions or because of such a transformations

Disliked Genres:
MPregs- Unless these are very well done and with a plausible enough explanation (and I will read the first couple of chapters or so if the summary catches my attention just to give it a fair shot) I refuse to read them.
Superpowered Descendant- Harry is all powerful because he is the descendant of Merlin, Morganna, Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Flamel, Voldemort, Dumbledore, the Queen of England and Jesus does not cut it with me.
Harry Stus- In which Harry stops being Harry because he's becoming his real true self... by wearing leather and getting tattoos and piercings and attacking the people who had been his friends and smoking in the boys bathroom... or by realizing that he is small and delicate with large lustrous green eyes and a distressing tendency to trip and sprain his ankle as he is being chased by Death Eaters through a dangerous forrest in the middle of the night and must be saved! Just because you might think fez caps are cool does not mean that Harry would run out and buy one in a fit of rebellion the moment he got his freedom. Unless there is a viable reason and the resources to develop the inclination I will refuse to read these stories.

    How wonderful. Seriously, this has been a great read. I admit, I cringed at the scene where Lliannan-she showed up (there was an incredible Mary-Sue vibe) and I am shamed to admit that I was relieved when she dropped dead. In fact it was so startlingly brilliant that I laughed (but I felt rather guilty about that later). The pacing and build up for Harry's changes has been slow and carefully managed, with every change explained. The original characters have not become the focus in place of Harry at any point, despite playing major roles. The cultural and political background has been well thought out, and I am guessing researched as well. I loved this last chapter in particular since we finally get to see him really having to deal with the fall out of the meeting and how difficult it's going to be for him to deal with everyone.
    I don't know why but I have this image of a scene where Remus and Harry haven't quite managed to get around their different approaches to their heritages and Harry gets angry and asks Remus what he would do if Harry dropped dead that instant, would he have Mo's wings cut off so she could be more 'human' as well? Especially since Remus's decisions can't be trusted since he takes a poison on a monthly basis just to make the humans feel better. Although that would really be twisting the knife as it drove home the point of why he wasn't willing to trust him. The danger his mentality and his decision to out Harry is going to impact Mo a great deal so Harry can argue from that stance quite comfortably once he's thought about how many ways Remus was wrong.
    Lol, this is how you know that a story is good, when you can read it and see a dozen different ways it could go and want to write them all... and this is a fan piece to begin with, so that's an awkward feeling. Anyways I just wanted to say how good your fic was and I do hope you get a chance to update very, very soon. I should have just reviewed each chapter but I suspect I would be repeating myself a lot so I will just have to apologize for the length of this review instead. Sorry!

    Author's Response: ROFL. I'm still laughing as I write. Yeah, there were so many fics out there with the 'mate' thing that I just wanted to nip that in the bud right away. Animals do not have only one perfect 'mate' and never possibly fall in love with anybody else. Seriously. Anyway, thanks so much for the lovely long review.
