Heyo! I'm Art, a twenty-one-year-old fangirl totally and completely obsessed with Harry Potter, Harry Potter fanfiction in particular.

I got the HP book set for Christmas in 2020, and I really did not expect to like it much. But I ended up falling deeply in love. I read the books quickly as I am a fairly fast reader, but I would often set the books aside and start reading fanfiction long before I finished the series. So basically, I spoiled the whole series for myself haha. BUT, I feel like I probably wouldn't have fallen so hard for Harry and Sev gen fic if I had focused solely on canon, as fanfiction convinced me to like Severus before I could really even properly dislike him. So that's okay.

I have always been a sucker for found family, in every fandom I've ever been a part of, and so Potions and Snitches is like a God send for me. In other fandoms I've had to search high and low for the couple of heartwarming family fluff fics, but I joined this site in early January 2021 and I still have so much to read!

I have been writing practically my whole life, but I was one of those writer-who-isn't-writing types. I mostly wrote songs and a few short fanfics. My older works for other fandoms on FFN are quite horrid, and I feel like I've learned a lot about the art as of late. I'm really super excited and proud of what I'm writing now, and I hope that my readers are enjoying my work half as much as I'm enjoying writing it!!

Harry spends the summer turning life in Diagonalley on its head, trying not to worry about the murderer Sirius Black, and attempting to avoid Severus Snape. In the midst of this he finds himself embroiled in an intense legal battle against Albus Dumbledore to decide his future. For the first time his fate rests solely in his own hands, and depend on the decisions he finds himself being forced to make. Harry wishes he could just be a thirteen year old boy, and begins to wonder if he’ll ever have the childhood he desires the most. It wasn't Severus' fault that Harry was allergic to Veritaserum, or that Harry had been sneaking around the dungeons after curfew. How was he to know the boy would react badly? Those were the excuses he gave to the Headmaster when questioned about his (questionably legal) actions, but Dumbledore wasn't buying it. Now Severus is stuck with the annoyingly truthful brat for Christmas. Wonderful. In response to the Faux Pas challenge by Alexannah. Rating for language is because of one sentence with curse words in chapter two. Rating for self harm is harm on accident on Harry's part. Short story, only three chapters.
