Reviews For Filling the Void
I do feel so sorry for Harry, though, as he struggles to overcome the past and heal from the abuse he has suffered. Congratulations on your promotion! Author's Response: Hi Kristeh, thanks once again for reviewing! I wanted that bit in there to show that Harry *can* be just an average (wizard) boy, just given a good night's sleep and a sense of security. (Plus, I wanted to show Silly!Severus). Don't feel too badly for Harry. He's got someone in his corner now!
That whole exchange was just gorgeous, with Harry discovering Severus could be a little silly, and the attempt at poking him awake. And I like that all the cupboard stuff is out there, it would be nice if one day Harry felt he could confide in Snape a little about that stuff without being prompted or forced, it's sad that he's so nervous about it all. Can't wait to see more summer escapades from these two! On a side note, I'm glad real life is going well for you. Congratulations on the promotion! Looking forward to the next chapter whenever you're ready! Author's Response: Once again, the impetus for this chapter was the idea of Snape turning his head and snapping at Harry's finger. It was a small moment, but it lightened things between them. While I do think Harry will confide all to Severus one day, but it will be a way off...like not in this story. But it will happen. Thanks so much for reviewing!
Author's Response: I know, right? Time flies! I hope life gives me time to update soon as well. It's hard to describe without sounding crazy, but even when I'm not writing, the story is happening in my head. Thanks for reviewing!
Author's Response: Thanks for taking the time to review! It's very motivating ;) So hopefully that means it won't be long before I update!
'One did not slip anything into Albus Dumbledore’s tea that he did not already want there.' How true! I liked the progress Snape has made towards understanding Harry's old situation and the Dumbledore-manipualtion that led Snape to ask Harry questions. Author's Response: Heh, no one will ever mistake Dumbledore for someone who doesn't pay attention to his surroundings. He's a brilliant character, and knows exactly how to manipulate those around him. Glad you liked his bits. As much as Severus and Harry are annoyed by him at times, he's been key in helping their relationship.
Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, fatherly Snape is definitely AU, to put it mildly. It's not everyone's cup of tea, which I can understand, but I love it :)
Author's Response: Thank you!
Please don't wait as long to update, I am really enoying your story! Author's Response: I think I've already taken too long, but I appreciate your patience and your review. Life makes it difficult to update, but I'm pretty dedicated to this story....
Author's Response: Thank you! I admit that I like that part too...
Severus is very close to figuring it out, if he hasn't already. I can't wait for that conversation. And I love how he is with Harry. Great chapter! Author's Response: Yeah, I'm thinking I need to lay of the angst for at least one chapter, but it just happens so naturally, lol. Severus certainly has his suspicions. He's not 100% sure, but he knows the commection between Harry and cupboards cannot be a good thing. |
