Reviews For An Uncertain Future
Latin spellwork class? That sounds awesome! I wonder, if most spells are in Latin, did Roman wizards have to watch what they said, lest they cast a spell? Also...there are someĀ otherĀ items that might be a bit difficult to obtain," Hermione said with concern. It's a horcrux, I hope these other items don't force Harry to choose between his father and last link to his mother, and another person's life. Ron seems really juvenile at the beginning of this chapter, and I'd have thought that the Weasleys would still be dealing with the ramifications of Fred's death, and thus, Ron would be able to relate to wanting the dead to return. If Harry could heal the cut on his arm instantly with his wand, then why didn't he do that to the snake bite on Snape's neck? I assume that Nagini must have some type of poison in her fangs that prevents the easy closing of the wound. Typical Snape, returns from the death and begins his second chance at life by yelling at Harry. :)
Author's Response: Yeah, Snape can be a real git sometimes!
For a first timer though, this is pretty darn good! I'm interested to see where some of these plot bunnies are hopping... Author's Response: As you pointed out, this is my first story, so I didn't realise that I was doing that. Live and learn they say, right?
Thanks for the observations though. I'm trying to do better. Someday, maybe I'll go back and fix things, especially in earlier chapters.
What's going to happen now? Is Harry going to go all dark or isn't he? Is Snape going to help him? I don't know!-so I'm going on! Nice chappie Pandora! Author's Response: Snape is pretty much a bastard in this story--or at least at the beginning. He won't be forever though, I promise you that. He won't ever be a cuddly Snape, but he'll eventually come around.
Ooh, you'll have to keep on reading to find out!! Thanks Ivy. I hopt that you'll continue to read. I appreciate your kind comments! :)
Author's Response: Yeah, unfortunately Snape's reaction to being brought back from the veil is not all that Harry hoped for !
Author's Response: Yeah, this is the Snape that we all know and love, or hate as the case may be! ;) Don't worry though, Minerva will not rest until she gets these two together. She's a very determined woman! ;)
Author's Response: Thank you! I really enjoyed writing it! I love angst! I know that there are those who are really peeved at Snape right now, but I love writing him nasty...I'm evil I know! ;) Hey...if things went TOO smoothly right away, then there wouldn't be much of a story...now would there? ;)
Author's Response: Yes, of course he trusts Hermione, as he does Ron. They are his best friends! But Harry always considered Dumbledore a Mentor, a fatherly/grandfatherly sort of figure, and he feels enormously betrayed and hurt.
Author's Response: Thanks Kristeh! I'm just honoured that you can even find the time to read MY story, when you must be spending so much time writing your own brilliant story, "Slave Child". Yes, Harry has lost out on so much, and I think that although he claims that he brought Snape back to give Snape a second chance, that I think that deep down that Harry was hoping that he could have the family that he never had. There are many events that will occur, that are going to make Snape do some serious soul-searching (ooh, look at that ...get it? SOUL-SEARCHING, you know...SOUL?) Ok, I'll shut up now! :) BTW, I can't wait to read YOUR next update of Slave Child! ;)
Author's Response: Yes, Snape is true to character, isn't he? What was Harry thinking by returning Snape from the Veil? Did he really think that Snape would show gratitude? This is Snape we're talking about... Gotta love the old grump though! Maybe, just maybe...he'll get a teensy-weensy bit nicer...maybe! ;) |
