Reviews For Playing Pretend
Great chapter!
I'm very glad Draco and Harry are finally starting to realize that working together is always better than working against each other. Boys! *sigh* Hopefully this truce is a breakthrough that will lead to some more trust-building. I wonder if the birthday party and Harry's not having had one - ever - will come up in a conversation with Draco in which they finally discover that neither of them lead the lives they thought? (Wow, that's a kinda long and confusing sentence) I was thinking when I read that part, that that might be a jumping off point for a heart-to-heart between the two. If you're planning that type of conversation, that is (which I would assume you are at some point). Anyway, your tenses are much better! There may have been one or two in there, but if there were, I couldn't go back and pick them out now. Obviously they didn't hinder me that much then! :) Now, if only the chapters were a little longer...*puppy dog eyes* Lol, I live for long chapters, but yours are pretty long compared to the average, so you're doing good in that respect. Although if you'd ever desire to make them longer, I'd be the first to open the door. I'll send you a pm about the possibility of betaing. Keep 'em rollin'!
But of course it is so awkward for them now, and neither really knows how to react, especially Harry with this Severus being a kind and concerned guardian. I imagine that it is going to be very hard for him in particular to go back and face a Severus who despises him. I hope that it will be the catalyst for some big changes in their 'real' world though. I'm glad that Draco went to help with repairing the garden and that Severus is noticing that something's not quite right with the boys. Looking forward to more!
I wonder when is Severus going to know that Harry and Draco are not the boys whom he raised? please update soon.
Author's Response: Fmh, Glad to hear it, I don'y want to dis-include him at all seeing as he's also quite important and I want the reader to be used to hearing his POV for later on. Haha, yeah I thought Dobby learning chess would be cool. You're welcome, thanks for the review. Will be updating very soon. -Mel :)
Author's Response: Min, Thanks, will be updating soon. -Mel :)
It's really too bad that they didn't have enough respect for Severus' hard work to keep themselves from ruining it. I hope that they will find a way to put it to rights at some point. Author's Response: Silverstargirl, Perhaps, although this world Snape isn't entirely real. As in he serves the same purpose as the world itself does, therefore even though it's just like a real person, in some way he's also not. They're trying to get past their bickering, ah if only. Yeah, but their guilt is teaching them better. Keep an eye out for the next chapter, will be updating very soon. Thanks for the review! -Mel :) |
