definitely my new favourite story! and i completely agree, i hate how snape is nice all of a sudden in angsty fics. great concept, i cant wait to see where it goes! :)
This story is bloody brilliant! You've captured the characters so well it is like reading the book! I love it! I hope that Sev and Harry bond though.... Lol

This looks to be a good take on the Snape saving Harry from himself storyline.
Well written and in character so far and I like how you made Harry's self-harm more believable by using his experiences with Umbridge. I can really see that happening if he was in the wrong frame of mind.

Author's Response: It's really hard to take a character like Harry Potter and keep him in character without introducing some kind of justification... I'm not a big fan of Abusive!Dursleys, so I went with the only thing that made sense to me. Thanks so much for reading!!

OH!!! I really like this so far! And I love that Snape is in character, he is usually terrible OC and cuddley in these sort of fics. "Oh Harry I was best friends with your mother I should have protected you." BARF! I'm really looking forward to seeing where you go with this!
Author's Response: Appreciated! That's actually why I started writing this to begin with -- I never had much of a taste for OOC Snape, and I figured an issue like this should be able to be dealt with in a canon manner:)
