Reviews For Happy Meal
Author's Response: And there's a sequel... Yeah, I really have no fondness for Pettigrew! Them-thar characters that I don't likes tends to get GONE!!! (I actually had a high school friend who spoke like that... If I ever need a source for dialogue...!) Thanks for reading and reviewing! 😁
Author's Response: 😁 Glad you liked it! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Author's Response: Yeah, this was a quickie. But very fun to write! Thanks for reading and reviewing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Author's Response: Thanks! Glad to hear you say that! When I first wrote this, I was sure everyone would think I'd gone round the twist! Thanks for the review! :-)
Author's Response: Thank YOU so much for the review! You really made my day! (And I have to wonder how much excess energy I inflicted on Thanksgiving dinners when I was a kid! Yipe!) Glad you enjoyed the story!
Nice twist on the story. Wormtail eaten by a hungry wolf! lol Author's Response: This little story grew out of autumn and I discussing the "Full Snow Moon" last February. I said, "Did you see that moon last night? It was so bright!" And autumn replied, "It was pretty and bright!" And I said, "I listened, but I didn't hear any werewolves howling." And autumn said, "Lupin must have had his happy meds." And for SOME REASON, I misread "happy meds" as "happy meals" -- if you can imagine! It produced one of the most bizarre mental images I've ever had: a werewolf crouching under the full moon, surrounded by McDonalds Happy Meal boxes and toy surprises scattered over the grass beneath the Whomping Willow! I laughed my head off when I realized how I'd messed up! But then I got to thinking... and I knew I HAD to write! The original draft took only about 5 minutes to scribble down, and then I spent another 3 1/2 to 4 hours revising, revising, revising. Glad you liked it! and many thanks for the review!
Thank you for this, I needed some funny. Author's Response: Hey, thanks for reviewing AND for liking Happy Meal! Yes, I did mean it to be funny, but I wasn't sure if anyone who didn't know me personally would understand my sense of humor. It seemed funny during the handwritten draft, and during the revisions, but the moment it went on the site, I was struck by SERIOUS DOUBT, thinking, "They'll HATE it! And they'll think it's STUPID! And I may have my P&S membership REVOKED!" Thankfully, the people who've been kind enough to take the time to let me know what they thought have all been positive. (Makes me wonder, tho', how many of those who kept mum really might have hated it...) But thanks again for reading and reviewing! And I'm glad your fiance got a chuckle, too! Yay! ;-)
Author's Response: *laughs* You've had a BUSY day! But I really appreciate your taking the time to review, coz my own day wasn't so great. *scoffs at massive understatement* But telling me you thought HM was "hilarious" really brightened things for me. THANKS! :-D As for the rest of my stories... Better have TIME to read-- coz when I write, I can't STOP! (When I was in 2nd grade, just 7 years old, my teacher chastized me by saying, "That's nice, shadowienne, but you don't have to write so MUCH!" Some things never change... Hee!)
Author's Response: Yeah, there is that! And the burp doesn't bode well... However, I suspect that a werewolf had a cast-iron constitution, including its stomach, so maybe Lupin will get by physically. (Psychologically and emotionally might well be a different story, once he learns that he devoured the fourth Marauder. Still, Lupin and Sirius were prepared to off Pettigrew in the Shrieking Shack, so maybe Lupin's conscience won't torment him too much...) Many thanks for the review! :-)
Author's Response: So glad you liked it! My biggest problem with writing is when I start, I can't stop! I just keep writing and writing and writing! So this time, I decided to try something short and sweet, as it were, just for the novelty of NOT writing until my hand fell off! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! I really appreciate it, no matter how short the story! |
