I'm really enjoying the story, just read it today. Looking forward to when the new chapter comes out!
And I just have to say, you've got the characterisation down great (and it took some effort there to not write "right shiny". dang habits!), which is something I've always had such trouble with when it comes to HP fic...
Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: Thanks! :)
It is a year after Voldemort's final defeat, and Severus Snape has found peace in his life. His quiet existence is disrupted when he receives an unexpected bequest. Truths that he has held for years are shattered and he learns that the Boy Who Lived is his son. Severus must learn to cope with that truth, and he must find and protect his son before it's too late for both of them.

Such a fantastic, haunting story. The smooth silence of Severus' little bubble, the imagery, it all sets the scene so perfectly and really draws me in. I eagerly await your next chapter. Please, for the sanity of innocent readers, update soon?

This is such a lovely story so far! I admit my disappointment at having to wait for the next chapter. It's so sad how Harry and Severus have been treated! I look forward to seeing Harry's reaction to Minerva, as well as the Dursley's "punishment". Please update soon!
As Harry enters his sixth year at Hogwarts, Voldemort's lengthening shadow stretches across the wizarding world and Harry is tormented by the knowledge that he alone can end this reign of terror. Worse, his mysterious mental link to Voldemort is stronger than ever and threatens to overwhelm him. Only Snape can teach him to control the nightmarish visions, but can Harry and Snape learn to trust one another, or will an old grudge that refuses to die destroy the wizarding world's sole hope of defeating the Dark Lord?

Lord, has nobody reviewed the past few chapters? Horrible.
I just started reading this day before yesterday, and you've really got me hooked. ^-^ I love how Snape and Harry's relationship has been building up slowly, and how Snape's sharp honesty has been exactly what Harry needed. Eager to find out what happens next!

Very cute, fun story. Especially about the spiders. Although the "pit of spiders" gives one many horrid mental images. Creepy little freaks...
Although forgetting an ingredient isn't very Snape-like, but then, perfectly understandable considering how anxious he was for it to not tell him something bad... lol
Literature professor Severus Snape has always considered Harry Potter to be a problem student. “Just like his father” he always thought. That opinion changes when Snape is saddled with overseeing Harry’s “rehabilitation” after a botched suicide attempt. The two begin a strange journey towards something not unlike friendship with the help of poetry, which they both share a love for.
