| Hello and thank you for visiting my author’s page! Here are a few tidbits about me and my writing: I dabbled in fanfiction once upon a time and then a half-adventurous, half-disastrous decade happened, full of international moves, Master’s programs, health issues, family growth, and a general abandonment of most of my hobbies. I am in the process of putting the fun back into my life, and that includes reading and writing fanfiction again. I’m so excited to finish the story I started long ago and then to maybe work on some new ideas! I am a Ravenclaw with a soft spot for all houses. I write with an outline but scenes and subplots often come out of left field and make it to the page before I’ve realized my head was thinking of them. It’s fun that way. Feel free to tell me what you do and don't like about my stories, as well as what you would like to see. It won't always change my plan, but sometimes I draw inspiration from reviews. :) I love Harry Potter, but alas, I am not British. I will do my best to avoid American slang (feel free to let me know if I fail), but please know that all spelling and grammar will be American style. There’s only so much I can do. I don’t read or write stories with slash or explicit sexual content. Personal preference. So if you’re reading my stories, no need to ask; they will not contain slash or sex scenes. I am a sucker for family stories (especially parent/child, mentor/teen, or brotherly relationships)…probably why I have a special place in my heart for stories starring Harry Potter & Severus Snape. Bring on the father/son/teacher/mentor fluff! :) [Report This]

You did a fine job with Luna's POV in this chapter. It's true - her head IS a fine place to be. :) I must confess to being a Harry and Snape interaction nut, so I wasn't so sure I would like the deviation. I should have given you more credit, as you haven't disappointed me yet. ;)
I liked that she didn't miss a beat with Harry and playing along with his dreams. And the magic cupboard was sweet. :)

"You might have given him to me," Snape whispers.
Ok, as if that wasn't enough to make me go all *sniff* and *gasp, choked up* - I didn't even see the end of this chapter coming! Aw, Snape, you big cuddly avenger you!
Seriously, Branwyn, I am enjoying this story so very much. I feel like crying with Harry, and it doesn't even have to do with the fact that I'm stuck at work for another entire day.
Thank you for the awesome reading!

I appreciate your talent for dialogue. Thank you for not simply plopping words on a page, as many fanfic writers tend to do. You don't just write Snape and Harry; you direct them like you would direct a play: I can imagine their movements and facial expressions, and I not only believe their thoughts - I find myself caught up in them. I just had to say - nice work. :)
Favorite line:
"But they don't look happy to see us."
"Don't they?" says Luna. "I think they look rather pleased, myself."
hehe - gotta love that Luna.
Oh, but then there is the exchange between the trio about Snape being "twitchy," aka protective. I loved that too.
You mentioned several times in this chapter how Snape is becoming very parental and protective of Harry. I like it; parental, protective Snape makes me go 'awww' and want to give him a great big hug. But even though I'm getting all soppy, I like that Harry isn't completely embracing it right away. He needs it and you can tell he wants it whether he admits it or not, but he's just indignant enough to still be Harry.
Oh, and the exchange between them in the hall after the confrontation was nice, too.
Can you tell I loved this chapter? :)
Now excuse me while I run off to tell you how much I loved the shoe shrinking from the last chapter...
Author's Response: Everyone sees Snape turning into the world's most unlikely overprotective mentor towards Harry. Except Snape and Harry. Cause they're like that. And yay, I'm glad Luna's line made you laugh. I never know whether people are going to laugh when I do or not!

What else should I have felt but—" agonizing, gut-clenching terror, "concern?"
hehe - Snape, you softy, you! You CARE! With a CARE BEAR STARE!
This was a very riveting chapter. I'm glad those two boys were expelled. What a shame, wasting your future on a petty revenge. I felt bad for them, even while I thought they needed to be punished. I'm glad you portrayed them as 17-year old boys who had made a horrible decision rather than hardened Slythern criminals.
Author's Response: *falls to the floor and DIES OF LAUGHTER* OH MY GOD. Who was that...wasn't there a Grumpy Bear? Or something like that? Oh my God. That is the great crossover Snape allusion since someone rewrote the Dr Seuss song as "You're A Mean One, Mr Snape".

Oh WOW. I was checking up on your story to see if you'd updated it lately, plus I like to see what other reviewers say sometimes. So I'm sending this review simply because if you're going to have to put up with rudeness from other reviewers, you should get nice reviews to make up for it.
So allow me to expound upon what I've said in reviews past - I LOVE your story! You have great characterizations and creative writing and interesting situations. Thank you so much for taking the time to write it for us, when you're not getting anything but our reviews in return.
And don't let mean people get you down!!!
This is my attempt at a challenge. The 'Potions and Snitches' challenge posted by Jan AQ. Need opinions on this one. Would anybody like to appear in this story? Yes, if you so wish you may be in the story!

I am so excited to see where you take this! hehe! I would love to be a part of the fic - I put a character description in the main page shoutbox, should you choose to accept it. ;)
Author's Response: Shall do. ^-^ I aim to inclued everyone who wants to be mentioned at least once or twice. Of course the main characters will be Harry and Severus or Jan will shout at me. O_~ Thanks for the input Kirby. XxX

Ooh, I'm curious to see where this goes! I love Snape watches over Harry fics, but I'm worried about the kidnapping warning...
I like your characterizations so far. Keep up the good work!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'll sure try. And the kidnapping portion will be in the chapter 3, but Harry will be rescued in chapter 4 so it won't last too long.

Oh no! Run, Harry, run! Oh, wait...you can't. Come back, Snape, come back!
Author's Response: Heh, heh. Don't worry, the kidnapped portion of the story won't last too long. Thanks for reviewing!

I love this! So hauntingly beautiful and sad. I'm actually a little depressed right now, which is a compliment to your ability to write to the emotions in few words. Great job! I would love to read more of your writing.
