- I love this story more and more with each chapter. Snape and Harry are both in character, and yet the relationship and interaction between them are changing realistically as the tale moves on.
My favorite part of this chapter is the bit about the time-lapse shrinking spell. I laughed out loud when the penny dropped for Harry and he realized why Snape taught him the spell. *grin*
Of course, this means that Harry won't have an excuse for not finishing his summer homework!

This was a great and fun story to read. I really loved the last chapter when Harry told the edited story of the Gringott's heist to Jamie. :-D
I like how Snape is still a bit befuddled and not quite sure of how things are to go on. But Jamie will heal up a lot of the invisible injuries, I'm sure, and Severus will become a good daddy.
Please finish this story if you are able. It's terrific!

- This is a wonderful story! I wasn't so sure I'd like it much because I've never cared much for most writers' interpretations of Tobias Snape. But you really did a great job on this story with the unique plotline, and the excellent character development.
I particularly like the idea of Severus being a Healer/Potions Master. I don't think that I've ever read a fic where he's in that kind of career.
I found the changes in Tobias Snape extremely realistic, along with Severus' reaction to him. Very believable!
And I LOVE that last little bit about Inky coming to life from Harry's magic! "Why did I ever let him read THE VELVETEEN RABBIT?" LOL! That was so funny!

Thanks! This story was written as a prompt from Daughter Of Ares so I wanted to portray a different and more rounded Tobias Snape.
Oh, good, because when I made him that, I thought . . .I hope this doesn't sound too crazy, but I think it fits him.
Yeah that line was classic. If you read Growing Pains you'll get to see more of Inky alive.

Response to Burned Hedwig Challenge... After blowing up his aunt, Harry's uncle abuses him farther than his mental capacity can stand. Even his cousin is concerned, and sends a letter by way of owl "To Whom It May Concern" pleading for his cousins sake for help. But Harry needs more than to be taken from his family. He needs to gain the will to live.

- Oh, I love the mental image your description of the last little bit when the transfiguration wore off gave me! I like how you're going slow with Harry's responsiveness to his new environment... that's very realistic, and I like also how Snape is still the snarky, impatient fellow he is in canon, but is making a conscious effort to act with patience and even understanding as Harry begins to learn how to live outside of his cage. Nicely done!

- This was an excellent chapter! I love Harry's explorations, and especially the description of how, because of his bad vision, things would "pop up" into his awareness as he moved around the room. :)
His reaction to the House Elves was great! And just where DID Harry learn the word "baby"?
I do hope that you will eventually continue this story. It's a great premise, and your storytelling skills are terrific. I got invested into this tale quite quickly, and want to know what happens next.
