Mark Evans was rescued from Dudley’s gang by Harry the summer before he got his Hogwarts letter. Severus Snape introduces Mark to the wizarding world, takes him to buy his supplies, etc., and Mark is sorted into Slytherin. He approaches Snape for help finding information about laws in the wizarding world, wanting to do something about Harry's situation at home with the abusive Dursleys to repay his debt to him.     I like your characterization of Mark, and the way you let us into his head. I liked how you had Snape do such a terrific and clever thing as to have Dobby help resolve the problem with Sirius and the need for Harry to have a new and safe home, and yet stay his snarky, Slytherin self. :) And I liked how at the end you showed Mark's Slytherin nature in the final line.

    Oh, wow! This has been fantastic read! And I'm thrilled the there's more to come!

    I've truly loved this rollercoaster ride, and want to thank you for the chills, thrill, tears and laughter it elicited from me as I absorbed each chapter of the story so far.

    I have to admit that the image that is going to stay in my mind for quite some time is our dear magicless Dumbledore on a surfboard! That was just absolutely hysterical!

    Your characterization was wonderful, I loved meeting Jace Witherspoon's family, and Vince Crabbe's too. The bad guys were believably scary, and I thought your ideas on the destruction of the horcruxes were much more exciting and heartrending than the ones in canon! I envy you your imagination! :) In a good way, of course!

    Looking forward to upcoming chapters! Well done!

    Oh, I really love this! :) The kids are great (and I can't blame Severus for not caring much for James... he is a chip off his grandfather James' block for certain!). I love seeing Harry as a father and husband, and you made the whole family seem real.

    Author's Response: Thank you so much for that! I enjoyed writing this so much and it means such a lot to know people enjoy reading it. Severus might get a bit more (grudgingly) fond of James in a later chapter, lol, yep there shall be more. But only at special occasions because then they will feel more special to me...if that makes one scrap of sense to anyone else. The next one will be out in 3 months when  Kbinnz's adorable little baby is born! Thanks again for the review, it was lovely.

    OOOH! What a cliff hanger! :)

    I've really enjoyed reading this story, and can't wait to see what happens next.

    The only question I have is from several chapters back. I thought that Severus had confiscated the Invisibility cloak from Harry before Harry and Connor used it to go out to the lake, but I didn't see it being returned to him. Or maybe I'm confusing it with another story... in any case, I love Harry's animagus form and I hope to see him practicing his transformation more. Being able to transform into Padfoot Junior could be an asset, whether dealing with the Dursleys or Deatheaters, or so I'd hope!

    Keep up the good writing, and if you can, post the new chapter soon!

    Regarding your question. In ch 27 Snape and Harry have a conversation where Snape refers to Harry persuading him to give him the cloak back. [ Snape says: When I think that I allowed you to convince me to let you keep the cloak after your last little escapade...] So I didn't actually *show* it as such but it happened 'off screen' if you know what I mean.

    Lucius' hearing was a bit different than I expected... and I laughed when I realized that they'd set Lucius up as bait to catch the Aurors who were secretly Deatheaters.

    I was wondering when Marge was going to try something like this. Poor Dudley! I can't wait to see how the rescue is mounted. A flying Ford Anglia? Or perhaps a dragon? Hee!

    Another excellent chapter! I love getting the chapter alerts for this story.
