    Good chapter. Now I'm not sure if I'm getting your story mixed up with other stories I'm fallowing but I don't think Sirius has made an appearance. I like to see Sirius's reaction to Harry being in Slytherin and being adopted by Severus. Just don't make Sirius be like he is in some other stories were he gets out of hand and ruins any chance of having any kind of positive relationship with Harry by making Harry and Severus's lives miserable for years...

    Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm actually ending this story where J. K. Rowling ended her first book- I'm just working on the final chapter- and, therefore, Sirius isn't going to appear until the next in the series. The reason for this is simple; after Azkaban, Sirius needs serious medical attention before he even enters counselling and, naturally, the Healers (and Dumbledore) don't want him to jeapodise his relationship with Harry: if Sirius contacts Harry before he's mentally fit, he'll more-likely-than-not say or do something foolish, which will engender mistrust and bad feelings. (In the canon, Sirius is rather disturbed when we're introduced to him and, later on in the books, often seems a little immature, volatile and often appears to consider Harry a mini-James.) Because I don't want to go down the path you've mentioned, I decided to delay Sirius' entry until the next fic.

    I remember watching on Scientific American Frontiers years ago, they did a piece about stuttering. One of the big mysteries about stuttering is when the stutterer is saying something at the same time another person is saying it, they don't stutter. That phenomena resulted in someone developing something to put in your ear that would pick up what you are saying and play it back in a different voice almost at the same time you are talking. Its like 90% effective in curing stuttering. You may try something like that in your story.

    I think the chapter is a little to vague as to who the children are except for the "dark haired four-year-old boy". That is definitely Al Potter. Other than that its a good start. Keep up the good work!

    Interesting start. I think Dumbledore isn't going to be too happy with how Harry is. Definitely would bring up bad memories of a certain dark wizard...

    Author's Response: Maybe... he's not *that* bad though. He steals - but that's a phase a lot of kids go through. The fighting is supposed to show him having learnt to stick up for himself against bullies, he hasn't set out to *hurt* anyone as such...

    Please don't have it turn her into a toad, a frog, or any other amphibian for that matter. That is used way too much... Do something else to her like make her look anorexic or extremely overweight. Now that would be original.

    Author's Response: I was planning on making it original so no worries there. I keep using the toad and frog just for insults. I know exactly what you mean, though. Thanks for response. :D No worries, though. She won't be a frog or toad.
