Marlene reminds me of the villain in a creepy episode of Deep Space Nine that I swear I am not watching again... If you see the last act of the episode I'm thinking about, you'll see why Marlene reminds me of that villain...

My oldest sister is a sleepwalker. She's a lot older than me so I don't remember any incidents when she was sill living at home but according to my parents, she would change light bulbs and go into rooms and start talking in a strange language. According to my brother-in-law, she still sleepwalks.

    "Avon calling!"

Heh. Boy does that bring back memories. When ever my mom went to go visit our neighbor across the street, she used say that for no reason at all.

Lily protects her son from Voldemort at that faithful Halloween's night, turning into a soul. Well! rest is the story to read.

Please continue the story. You changed the sorting of some important characters. That will cause an interesting 'butterfly effect'.

Cauldron’s bubbled. Potions simmered. And Snape was yelling at Neville again. Just another ordinary day in Potions class, or so they all thought. When a potion reveals something out of the ordinary, Harry’s life is changed forever, and not in a positive way. Was it so unreasonable to ask that he be allowed to make it through sixth year like a normal teenager?

I think Harry should go back to Hogwarts. Maybe resort him to get him away from Ron since until Ron grows up, its not a good idea to have them in a room together unsupervised.

Rather than allowing Harry to stay at Diagon Alley after he blew up Aunt Marge, the Ministry sends Harry back to the Dursleys. Harry returns to school after a terrible summer, to find that he's not the only one with this kind of secret. A student has been killed by his family. New screening measures are put into place by the Ministry: Every student must be given a medical exam and interview to look for child abuse. With Dumbledore facing an inquiry, Snape is entrusted with the task of making sure EVERYONE receives one.

Interesting chapter though there is a part that doesn't seem very logical to me. Pure-bloods having no problem with homosexuals doesn't quite seam right if they believe in continuing the family line (even if that continuing is an illusion). Given how infertility problems are among pure-bloods, I think they their attitude towards homosexuals would be like how the attitude was in the real world decades ago.

    Author's Response:

    Nodding.

However, people who can change their sex at will (Polyjuice will do it temporarily, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear there were spells to do it permanently) and have relations with non-human people (Veela, giants, goblins) are very likely to be less concerned with same gender couples.

I'm sure individuals (especially only sons) do get quite a bit of pressure from their families, but there is no bar to a same sex couples adopting, in the Wizarding World. And given that their inheritance rights are right out of the the 16th Century, adoptive heirs are still heirs. Especially if the adoptive parent has some blood tie to the child. Another skeleton in the closet of the Wizarding World, is how often children are used as bargaining chips in family fueds.

There are no Wizard orphanages. Yet, there are always going to be orphans (especially after the last war). So, I can only conclude that children usually find someone to take them in.

    Anyway, that's my logic.

Everyone thought Harry's scar came from Voldemort. But they were wrong. The scar was the sign of a rare & terrible gift, the power to call monstrous storms. A power that could save or destroy Harry unless he learns to harness it. Can Snape & Lily help him master his terrible gift? Or will he self-destruct . . .and take the world with him?

I would like a sequel though I would really like a sequel to "Arms of a Dark Angel" first.

There is a strange creature loose in the castle. What could it be? Where did it come from? Snape, one of the few people seemingly immune to the creature, must find out before it kills his newly adopted son.

Is it Snape saying McCoyism ("I'm a ___ not a ___")? Though the "No child, Whatever gave you that idea?” sounds like something Kai Winn in Deep Space Nine would say...

    Author's Response:

Yep! It was a McCoyism!! 100 points!! :D

As for the Kai Winn like line...it was not intentional, but I see your point. So...Another 100 points!!! (I really hope you're a Slytherin.)

    Thanks for the review!!

ne large jar was nearly over flowing with small furry…puff balls of varying browns and whites. They almost looked like pygmy puffs, but lacked any visible faces or appendages. (Tribbles (Mind you I was just talking to one of my friends about tribbles before reading this)). Another jar held a perfectly flawless spherical object that looked like silicon. Harry thought it could be an egg of some sort. (Horta eggs) Another held a decaying creature that reminded Harry of a virus he once saw under a microscope in primary school, only much much larger.(Tholian) There was one that held an innocuous looking gold liquid. (A changling aka Founder?) Harry thought the jar containing three creatures that vaguely resembled gila monsters without defined arms and legs and with more slime were rather creepy. (Ceti eel? (why they call those things eels is beyond me because they aren't first and live in sand...)) A very small jar contained a worm like creature…the perfect size to crawl into an ear. (Andorian ice-bores?) Harry grabbed a medium sized jar with what appeared to be a still living specimen in it. The light flesh colored… thing had an almost jelly like appearance. It had stuck itself to the side of the jar and appeared to be breathing. In a way it resembled an insect that had been splattered against a window. (Those neural parasites aka brain cells, that attacked the colony on Deneva. They were in the episode "Operation: Annihilate!")

Also, I only counted 7 types of creatures in this chapter...

    Author's Response:

Oops...in my defense I never said I could count. *blushes*

You got several of the right: Tribbles, Horta egg, a changling, and the Operation Annihilate creature. So...100 points!

    Thanks! :D

Harry has come back to Hogwarts for his second year and something is...off. Harry has tried as hard as he can to keep everything secret and hidden, but people who are watching him know something is wrong.

A good chapter though you make a mistake int the chapter that makes me cringe. A person who speaks parseltongue is a parselmouth, not a parseltongue. Yes, I know, something is wrong with me if something like that makes me cringe. :P
