I knew you which "pants" you were talking about, silly. I was talking about the colorful men's boxers which I use as sleeping pants. :-)

Lol, I get it. I only thought that because the first I came across the word pants meant in the British way, I was confused. I am quite a fan of colorful men's boxers myself for using as sleep pants and shorts. They tend to be more exciting and funny than the women's.

- I really liked this. Having seen my granddaughter talk (non-stop) with some of her dolls this was especially enjoyable to me.
I have to admit that I wouldn't mind having a pair of "silver and green pants with little snakes on them" as well. These would make some great sleep pants. And I already have some with the other Batman on them! LOL

Thanks--I'm glad you enjoyed it! I student taught music this fall and I had quite a bit of experience with kids like this as well; they are cute and we had a very good time learning songs together. I would like some pants like that too, especially if the silver was shiny :D. Actually, when I said word pants, I was referring to underwear though. I've been trying to use more British slang in my fanfics and on effingpot.com, I found out that when Brits say 'pants,' they are referring to underwear. I think a lot of people have been missing that in the fic though, so I should probably put an author's note about it somewhere. Thanks for pointing that out to me! I'm glad you enjoyed my work!

Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all...

- "It is my responsibility to keep you safe. It would be beyond neglectful to leave you with your relatives any longer.” I absolutely loved these lines. Perfectly right and perfectly Snape.
This was always my biggest gripe with Albus, Minerva and especially Poppy. Having worked for a school system for 21 years now, I know that ALL school nurses are trained on spoting signs of neglect and abuse. Plus, teachers and principals go to classes on it as well.
Goodness gracious, we were having a hat/mitten/scarf drive in our office and had several busdrivers come in asking for stuff for the kids before the drive was even over. Caring adults notice these things.
It's not as though Harry stayed in the background trying to be a wallflower and coasted through classes never drawing attention to himself!
Oops, sorry. *blushes* Went off on a bit of a tirade there didn't I?

Desperate to escape his guilt and nightmares after the third task, Harry transforms into a hawk by accident and ends up breaking both wings and suffering partial memory loss. He is found by Snape, and while the professor nurses him back to health discovers the truth about Severus and who are really his friends and enemies at Hogwarts.

I really like the banter between Harry/Hawk and Snape. Maybe Harry can show him the animagus book and he can become an unregistered one as well. LOL
I meant to mention last chapter but forgot, I believe you made some interesting (and fun) choices in punishment for the three snakes.

Yes, he could, once he remembers who is, Snape gets over the heart attack he's going to have, and they locate the book in the library.
And then Severus could become a falcon or something too.
