    I LOVE this story! Malfoy is a little ooc, however... it comes naturally, seeing how everything developed. Well done. Ron is my absolute favourite in this.

    Many thanks.  Yes, you're right about Malfoy.  If I were writing this fic now I'd do him a bit differently, but this was my first ever fanfic and I was concentrating on Harry.  Poor Ron, I tend to use him as a fall-guy - somehow he asks for it.

    Oh, what a wonderful chapter. Interesting that you wrote a Snape-Lily connection before the seventh book came out. Well done.

    Author's Response: Thanks.  It always seemed to me that there must have been something going on between Snape and Lily, though in these fics I had Snape as a pureblood with a nasty DE past, so their relationship was a bit darker than in canon.  I go into it more in the next sequel 'Repercussions' (on ffnet).  I also did a young Snape/Lily/Marauders fic called 'Backfired' which, I think, got fairly close to the canon relationship.  I was quite chuffed about that.
