| Happily married for 20 years, this coming October. Two lovely daughters, four lovely grandkids. I always knew Snape was the most interesting character in the series! I love good writing, especially with good spelling and good grammar. [Report This]

An accident the summer before 6th year puts Dumbledore's plans for Harry in motion sooner than planned. Will an unexpected truce with Snape better prepare Harry for what is to come? An introspective Snape mentors Harry fic with all the regular players, told from Harry's point of view. Slightly AU after OOTP.

VERY well done. One thing: (if it's a British spelling, then that's something else), but the word "prophecy" ends in'-cy', not '-sy', so it should be corrected. Otherwise, a perfect chapter. Thanks for all your work--it's appreciated.

You should have a little 'angst' labelling on your story, too! Very touching. Thanks for all your work.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review ^^
Harry's been sorted into Slytherin, and Snape is forced to see things he would rather not. And what does an old box from a long time friend have to do with anything? Entrant in the 2011 Fic Exchange. Written for autumnamberleaves.

Too short! This is a good beginning, but it's crying out for development into further adventures. Thanks for having written this, though--nicely done.

Nice reworking of canon. Your Snape and Harry were both believable, although I found your Sirius too uncontentious. Mind you, I like yours a lot better--it's how he should have been, in my opinion. Still, he differs from canon Sirius that way. This was well worth reading. Thank you for all your hard work.
Author's Response: I usually make Sirius less canon Sirius. Canon Sirius bugged me like none other for some reason. Thanks for the review. :D
Harry and Snape switch bodies temporarily, thanks to Neville adding too much wormwood to what was supposed to be a potion to make the drinker become smarter.

A little too short and sweet, but still a cute premise. Thanks for writing.
That Severus shared his overwhelming guilt over Lily's death saved Harry's mind in this chapter. Inspired--very well done.
" The three of them walked into the cold winter night. Harry breathed in the lovely fresh air, looked at the stars and suddenly regretted not knowing most of them." This should really be two sentences, with the verb ending for 'regret' changed in the second, as I have it.
But aside from those two minor changes--what you have CONVEYED in this/these lines is what's special. You have captured Harry's heightened senses due to his (we all assume) impending death. He is treasuring what he and we figure to be his last moments, and therefore they are all the more precious.
This is all? I'm sorry there isn't more, as I enjoyed this story. It just seems like a good head start, not a completed work. But I'll thank you for this; you did a nice job on it.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. Since I was trying to keep it (mostly) cannon, I really didn't feel comfortable doing more than this. Although, NaNoWriMo is approaching so I may give your comments some extra consideration. :-)
I loved this story. I shall favorite it. Now that Alan Rickman himself has died, it feels even more poignant. Nicely done. This one gets a "10".
"Looking for something, Mr. Potter?" made me cry, the day after Alan Rickman died. There's an odd phrase here and there which could be tweaked a bit, but I'm favoriting this story. Thanks for having written it.
