Harry has a little problem, followed by a little freak out, and compounded by a confusing conversation with the Sorting Hat, who has special things in mind for him and Professor Snape. A (sort of) Christmas story as a lot of it revolves around Harry's wish for a good Christmas. [About the selected warnings] most of those were just to be safe. The Dursley's and their abuse is hardly mentioned, the corporal punishment is for the way the other students treat Harry (as well as the violence warning), and the limited use of profanity is mild.

He was nearing the end of his first term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and so far he had managed to escape getting into any serious trouble. Of course, there had been the odd detention for missed homework here and there… but nothing like this.

ter down. Him trying to get Harry to do the obstacle course re... omg JA I smell pot ewwww blegh -anyway... reminds me of him trying to teach Occlumency. It's the same Snape. But obviously, no where near as harsh, pushy or condescending.

- AWWWwwwww that was a great chapter! Love it. Great to see harry start to gain confidence.
Severus worked hard every day to portray the solid image of a man who was unshakable and unaffected by his past. Harry was desperate to hide the truth about what was happening to him in the present. One day two liars catch each other unawares in their deceit and are both disturbed and uncertain about what to do now that someone else knows their secret.

- oh wow! that was AMAZING! I just love how you've written it, so poignant. I don't think it was ooc at all. Both snape and harry were very much in character. Although, i have to say, i never thought snape would use the world 'pink' to describe the clouds and sky.
This is really good. I also love the nicknames, The Strong, Brave and Lucky ones.
Author's Response: Well if he's a man of truth, and the clouds were pink he couldn't say they were another color could he? :p

- Fantastic story! I think it's one of my fav. I love your Christmas stories. Love the interaction between Harry and Draco throughout, especially in the beginning when they were in the 'loser room'. Snape is great too.
