Severus thought he knew what to expect of the spawn of James Potter...until he walked into the Great Hall looking like Severus Snape.

I cannot wait to read more!

Left with partial paralysis after being tortured by Voldemort, Severus is sent to Bell Point, a secure location on the seaside owned by the Order of the Phoenix. However, he is not the only one who will be there, for Harry, refusing to express his emotions regarding Sirius’ death, has unknowingly invoked an ancient kind of magic that will force him to deal with them. Deaged to four years old, he has to contend with a bitter and broken Snape, who, like Harry, is being forced to live in a body that does not work the way it used to. These two vastly different people have beat the odds many times over, and somehow prevailed in a world that has tried time and time again to destroy them. But the challenges they now face are nothing like they’ve ever seen before. Will they rise to the occasion, or become prisoners within themselves?

Beautiful. Wonderful. And so many more positive adjectives. You did a lovely job. Severus and Harry both changed but didn't not turn into an unrecognisable character. Harry, allowed Severus to be who he should have been, and Severus allowed Harry the childhood he never had so that he became the normal adult he should.

It is terrible that Hermione lost her parents but it was perfect to see that she could live beyond them. I loved how Severus showed her (as he also showed himself) that what was important about her parents would always be with her.

Author's Response: Hi etherian! I want to thank you for this review especially - for it is more than a review. Let me explain: It's so strange to me hearing you say how good it was to see that Hermione could live beyond her parents. I had to do a lot of imagining for this story at the time, as both my parents were living when I wrote this. Having just lost my mother this September to cancer (she wasn't yet 50), I feel like I wrote a strange letter to my future self. So this review of yours is a beautiful flag waving to me as a reminder of love's perserverance, a message I needed reminding of. For in you saying that it was perfect to see that what was important about Hermione's parents will always be with her, you have told me exactly what I need to hear - that those we love leave a lasting mark on us. Such a strange world this is, isn't it? Again, thanks so much for your kind words. Excuse the soppiness, but I really think you were meant to cross my path by leaving this review - the timing is impeccable. Best of wishes, Whitetail.

Simply beautiful! You kept the Severus we know (acerbic, sarcastic) and gradually shifted him into that of a better man. Harry, too, "grew up" and matured into a much loved teen. You wrote a wonderful story.

Author's Response: Thanks so much etherian! I am so glad you found Prisoners beautiful!

Severus rescues Harry from the Dursleys, but it is too late.

I just found this... god I can't stop crying. You're cruel, you know that?

    This is beautiful.

    Author's Response: So cruel!

Being sent to stay in a psychiatric ward at St. Mungo’s isn’t exactly the most enjoyable way to spend a summer, so naturally, Harry’s pretty angry when he finds out that’s his destination, regardless of whether or not it might be good for him. Facing a full summer of being cut off from the Order’s plans, Harry’s even taken to envying Snape, because at least Snape knows what is going on. But when Harry arrives at St. Mungo’s and discovers that a fire has changed his destination from the teen ward to the adult ward, everything is turned upside down. Enter his roommate - suicidal, depressed, and none other than Severus Snape. They are both willing to bet that their summer will be a total disaster, and maybe it will be, but even the surest of gamblers are not always right.

*applauding* This was a wonderful story. AU, of course, but beautifully so. You treated Harry and Severus wonderfully. In character, yet out but as the story required.

I also really loved Daisy and Stephen. They were perfect!

Author's Response: Thank you etherian! I am so stoked you liked the original characters. They are so hard to get people to like so I am glad you mentioned them. Cheers, Whitetail

Harry has a little problem, followed by a little freak out, and compounded by a confusing conversation with the Sorting Hat, who has special things in mind for him and Professor Snape. A (sort of) Christmas story as a lot of it revolves around Harry's wish for a good Christmas. [About the selected warnings] most of those were just to be safe. The Dursley's and their abuse is hardly mentioned, the corporal punishment is for the way the other students treat Harry (as well as the violence warning), and the limited use of profanity is mild.

Bravo! My heart was in my throat for the way Snape was treating Harry. I almost did not think the Potions Master was going to 'see' the real Harry. I am so glad Thomas gave his Head of House hell and the man listened.

    You wrote a grand story.

Set at the end of third year. Severus overhears Harry by chance on his final patrol before the summer and begins to suspect that the Gryffindor's home life isn't as idyllic as he assumed. Twelve years ago, he made a promise to protect him, and he intends to keep it.

This is what finally turned me off of the rest of the stories. Harry was acting so blasted oblivious to the danger he was in, and Dumbledore really did not seem to care about how everything was tearing Harry apart.

I'll keep reading but I have to say that there is so much here that was in Goblet of Fire that I hated that it makes me angry to re-read it here.

I do like the fact that Snape is trying to do right by Harry, to defend him even when Harry doesn't realise it. At the very least there is one adult in the know that truly cares about Harry. It is frustrating that his hands are so tied (with how he must appear to his Slytherins) and half the time Harry's own self-righteous anger and demands to know what the adults are saying about him.

Your writing is very good but I am really annoyed with all of the characters. I hope this works out.

Harry Potter is located in London in the dead of night. How exactly did he end up there, and what has he been doing? Well, any kid with half a brain knows not to talk to strangers.

This is a wonderful story. You paint a very clear picture and I could almost smell the lingering smoke from the burnt #4 Privet Drive.

Sequel to A Christmas Gamble. After filling in for Father Christmas the previous year, one would think Severus and Harry would have a peaceful holiday, but all that went out the window when the two of them got talked into taking over the business. It seems like insanity, and it probably is, especially after the workshop burns down and they’re forced to try and find a way to sneak a hundred Christmas Elves into a makeshift workshop in Hogwarts. With twelve days until Christmas, and no time to waste to replace the lost gifts, it’s going to take one big distraction.
Good thing Severus and Harry have a knack for pulling pranks.
All the two can hope for is that burning down the workshop is the only black mark their names will get on the naughty list, because if the staff find out who is behind the pranks, Christmas will truly be ruined.

I enjoyed both these stories. I hear that you have been working on your own original story. Are you finished? Have you published it, yet? I am certain it is good.

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed them, etherian! Apologies for a slow response to reviews (University keeps be way too busy). And oh my, as for my original work: the novel is going slow. Thanks for asking! I've had good feedback from a number of people, but it's not nearly ready for submission. I don't like the first 1/3, but the final 2/3 I'm happy with, so revisions revisions revisions! I did get a short story published however - "The Pivotal Moment" in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Positive. I wrote it on a bit of a lark, so it knocked my socks off they wanted it. Thanks again for your curiosity! - Cheers from Whitetail!

Harry gets kidnapped, but who is this mysterious man who has taken him? It's going to be an awful summer. Summer Fic Fest 2015 entry. In response to Jan_AQ's challenge: Kidnapped By Tobias. A one shot.
