AU Gender-Bender. Silence Potter has a hard time adjusting to life at Hogwarts, her withdrawn and skittish nature proving difficult to overcome. The Potions Master is blinded by hate and refuses to see the signs of abuse in the offspring of the man who took everything away from him. Can he put away his prejudices before summer and help Potter before it’s too late?

I really am enjoying this story and I hope you update soon! You can really feel Silence's tension and fear. Very good indeed.

After an incident at the Dursley's, Harry finds he needs help. Will this be the catalyst for two unlikely characters forming a respectful relationship between one another, or are we kidding ourselves that one of the two can ever overcome his bitterness..

    Interesting so far!

    Author's Response:

    Glad you think so.

    Thanks!

Albus Dumbledore admits he often asks too much, but this time he has decided to ask something altogether different. With the shadows of war encircling them all, it will take incredible wit and strength to see his soldiers through to the end. What he needs, more than anything, is for them to work together - and Albus is nothing if not full of ideas on how to make the impossible happen.

Can't wait for the next chapter, although to me Roan House sounds like a facility of some sort...

Every year Harry Potter writes a letter to his second son, who is growing up surrounded by friends and family, new and old. Ignores a good chunk of the epilogue, happy and light.

Amazing! What a twist at the end! I wondered that you had invented a relative, but I had never even thought that it would turn out to be Severus! Very well done!

Harry Potter is not a happy child. He carries a danger inside him that manifests itself soon after he arrives at Hogwarts, and it falls to his new Head of House, Severus Snape, to protect Harry, even from himself…

So good. It's a really in-character depiction so far, which I like, and I like your descriptions of everyone too. Sometimes I skim over long conversation or long descriptions to get to the point, but not in your story. Everything is balanced just right here! Keep it up and looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thank you, I really appreciate what you said about my writing! Thank you very much for reviewing; more should be coming soon...

    ... Did Harry steal it?

Author's Response: Hmmm... let's just say Harry really wanted to do something nice for Snape :).

In response to your response: I feel the same way about fanatics of every cause, but especially religion, because it's the fanatics that drive people away from the true teachings of the Bible or believers that aren't doing horrible things. Even myself when I was younger before I was a believer, I would see crazy fanatics on the news and say, 'Oh those crazy Christians' and never learn the truth about the situation. Sadly the news usually only reports on the fanatics, so we don't get to see the other side.

    Author's Response:

I know what you mean; I'm sure many Muslims feel the same way, since the news only ever show acts of terrorism or extremism. In fact, I'm glad to say I know many Christians who practice their faith in a tolerant and open way, and I think the majority by far would never condone any act of religiously motivated violence. On the other hand, violence and hate that's spread by religious fanatics is part of the picture, and I find it important to take a close look and try to understand why these psychological mechanisms can influence so many people.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts!
