About me:

On May 28th of 2002, after a lot of deliberation and thought, I became Ponytail Goddess on fanfiction.net.  Looking back, I can't help but wonder why I chose such a silly name.  Clearly, I never thought I'd grow out of my ponytail phase during my freshmen year of high school.  Oh, how things have changed...

Anyway, I guess I could tell you a few less than interesting facts about myself, such as the fact that I am a music education major or that I live in Illinois, which is known for it's unpredictable weather.  However, that's not too terribly interesting, so I will bore you no longer.

I am here to write a few good fics and my main focus as an author is creativity.  I strive to write intricate fics with highly detailed plots that have not been seen before.  I like tricking people into believing one thing when they should believe another.  I also believe that a story can be satisfying with a less than happy ending.  Not everything in life ends happily, so why should all fics end happily?  Variety is the spice of life, so I'm going to flavor my fics in different ways to please you.

    Ha! Oh, I love the ending! That was a delightful read--a perfect first fic for the fest! I absolutely adored your Severus' sullen and obnoxious attitude, as well as his snarky thoughts towards everyone, particularly, the comment about the lemon drops and how his 'burden' had arrived.

    I can't believe Snape actually pretended there was a boggart under the bed lol. It would be funny, if you did a continuation like you suggested on the chatbox and there really was a boggart under there one day (Snape could check every night, lol)!

    Anyways, nice work! I really enjoyed this piece and hope that you choose to write more!

    Thanks so much for the review! It's so lovely to hear that you liked it! I was all surprised when reviews started to come in, I didn't know the fest was starting that day so I got all worried that I'd accidently posted it myself or something! I don't know how I would have done that, but knowing me and my dunderheadness (Snape informed me of my condition this morning) I would have found a way. I was thrilled to have been the first fest fic uploaded though, it made my day! I'm definitely doing to do a continuation to thank everyone for their lovely reviews but I'm not sure when it will be up, when exams are over I hope.

    Nice chapter--I really like the explanation behind this universe. It was clear and believeable because it did seem like Lily really wanted to make things work and didn't want to leave James, but in the end, somehow mustered up the strength to do it. You've painted her as a strong lady, but not totally impervious to weaknesses, which I like.

    While I personally dislike reading cp scenes, I think you handled it with finesse and made it sound appropriate to the behavior. Nice job, Snapegirl!

    She did really try and that's why it hurt her so much when she found that James was cheating on her, both the first and second time. It took a lot of courage for her to admit their marriage was a mistake and to then leave  with Harry and even greater courage to start all over again with Severus.

    As for the CP scene, I usually don't like writing them too graphically, but in this case it was necessary to the plotline and I'm glad I didn't turn you off.

    Aw! I love Sev and Lily together so much! I hope James has really been taken care of, but something tells me that he will try and take this to court anyways, though I don't know how he'd win. After all, Harry clearly loves Sev and Lily witnessed the spanking.

    I think I've just melted into a puddle--I cannot believe how much cuteness you've packed into this little fic! I love several of Severus' quotes, including, "He'd love anyone who showed him a duck!" Lol! At first I thought it would be all laughs, but I love how you snuck the seriousness of the situation into the middle also. It's like you connected me with Harry and then you dropped the bomb and I was very upset to hear that he was being abused.

    Let's hope his Snake will take good care of him (and you and I both know he will). What a great read--thanks for sharing!

    Great fic! Your Snape was fabulously in character. I love how he showed touches of other emotions here and there like curiosity and awkwardness, but was mainly has angry self. And poor Harry, forced to give up all that information, though it really was his fault for breaking and entering in the first place.

    I really liked the descriptions you made in here too. When Harry was woozy, we could tell. Then, the sickness afterwards was quite real too. All in all, very nice work!

    Oh, bittersweet. You know, Lily said she wanted Severus to vow to love Harry but then she didn't follow through with it. I think she assumed he would without the vow. It's sad that it isn't so, but perhaps for the better because Severus would have a really hard time following that vow.
