About me:

On May 28th of 2002, after a lot of deliberation and thought, I became Ponytail Goddess on fanfiction.net.  Looking back, I can't help but wonder why I chose such a silly name.  Clearly, I never thought I'd grow out of my ponytail phase during my freshmen year of high school.  Oh, how things have changed...

Anyway, I guess I could tell you a few less than interesting facts about myself, such as the fact that I am a music education major or that I live in Illinois, which is known for it's unpredictable weather.  However, that's not too terribly interesting, so I will bore you no longer.

I am here to write a few good fics and my main focus as an author is creativity.  I strive to write intricate fics with highly detailed plots that have not been seen before.  I like tricking people into believing one thing when they should believe another.  I also believe that a story can be satisfying with a less than happy ending.  Not everything in life ends happily, so why should all fics end happily?  Variety is the spice of life, so I'm going to flavor my fics in different ways to please you.

    OMG! Think of how Severus would feel if it didn't work--he'd have just helped Harry commit suicide! That's terrible. Now, since this is a chapter fic, I'm going to assume that he makes it, but it would be awful if he didn't.

    Great chapter! I can't wait to see how Severus copes with Harry's passing and Evan, who already appears to be much changed from Harry. I hope he's able to fulfill his promise to Harry and become a great father.

    Wow.  People don't usually tell me they're excited by my fanfics.  I'm glad that you are, though, that's really encouraging.  I'll try to get through another chapter tonight.  I'm trying to do a couple of pages a night so that I don't have an excuse to quit.  Now that I've beaten NaNoWriMo, I know it's possible to finish stuff, so no excuses (hopefully!)

    I'm glad that you can tell already that Evan is different.  That's kind of an important part of the story- just because Evan came from Harry doesn't mean Evan is Harry.

    Yay for a fast update! I love how panicked Severus got--he seems to be taking the parenting thing really seriously, which is good that he's living up to his commitment to Harry. Harry must not have told Dumbledore what he planned to do though; I get the feeling that Dumbledore isn't very happy now that he's learned what just happened.

    Too late now though.

    Yay for Severus show Harry affection openly, even though it's not what he's used to. And poor Harry, I felt so bad for him when he felt safe in the closet. It must be so weird for him to not understand where his feelings are coming from.

    I could really get used to daily updates *hint hint*. Please update soon!

    Daily updates would be nice, wouldn't they?  I am attempting it, although who knows what will happen when school starts back up again.  I might end up making this fic kind of short, just so that I can be all happy and say "hey, i finished one"!  I've found that small encouragements make me do better in the future.  I might make it into a series tho.  I'm not sure.

    Aw, that's so sad that he can't even explain what's wrong. Does Severus know about the cupboard under the stairs? Maybe he needs to dig deeper into Harry's old life to help him manage such a young child.

    Haha, Poor Sev, right? He expects the boy to be able to tell him what's wrong, and of course Evan doens't have any idea what's going on.  Perhaps he does need to look into Harry's old life, I hadn't yet decided how much he should now about it.

    Aww...warm and fuzzy alert! I actually really enjoyed the conversation between Severus and Dumbledore. I like that Dumbledore didn't really get that angry; I think he realizes that what's done is done and there's no going back now, even though it wasn't the option he would have chosen for himself.

    I'm glad that you're enjoying it.  I've found that if I do a bit of writing before bed, I can get about a chapter done a day. (Of course, "chapter" means between 2 and four pages, but that's a different story).  I think that's the way to do it...  That way it's like I can be satisfied with just getting a little bit done at a time, instead of feeling like I have to find time to write ten pages.

    None of that has anything to do with your review...  But I believe you said at one point that you were liking the daily updates?  That's why you get stuck with my "proud of myself" update rant.  

    I'm glad that you liked the conversation between Dumby and Snapers.  I didn't want it to get too harsh, but at the same time I felt like something needed to be said.  But I'm glad that it didn't drag or come off sounding forced or contrived or anything.

    Very curious--I wonder what this thing about 'thank you' is all about. I'm surprised that Evan was okay when Snape was gone; I didn't think he would be. I suppose he can surprise me once in a while though.

    I hope Severus is able to figure some of these things out that concern his son. Not being able to say 'thank you' might be a hard thing to live with, especially when Severus is trying to teach the boy manners.

    I'm glad that you are enjoying it, and I'm glad that the chapter has left you curious.

    As for Evan being alright with Snape being gone, it does show that he is a bit more trusting than you might have thought... Sometimes. Like most children, Evan will be sort of contradictory at times-- he might be okay this time and throw a fit the next time.  It's hard to say.

    Oh no! Poor Evan--I don't even know what to say! He tried so hard to keep everything clean, yet he seems to have made a bigger mess than before. Severus really needs to be keeping a better eye on him. I thought he would have learned by now! Well, hopefully this incident will show him that Harry cannot be let out of his sight.

    Author's Response: You would think he would learn...  but he thought that Harry would listen to his directions, and his house was warded, so it wasn't as dangerous as Hogwarts.  He's starting to learn what kind of trouble four year olds can get into, though
