About me:

On May 28th of 2002, after a lot of deliberation and thought, I became Ponytail Goddess on fanfiction.net.  Looking back, I can't help but wonder why I chose such a silly name.  Clearly, I never thought I'd grow out of my ponytail phase during my freshmen year of high school.  Oh, how things have changed...

Anyway, I guess I could tell you a few less than interesting facts about myself, such as the fact that I am a music education major or that I live in Illinois, which is known for it's unpredictable weather.  However, that's not too terribly interesting, so I will bore you no longer.

I am here to write a few good fics and my main focus as an author is creativity.  I strive to write intricate fics with highly detailed plots that have not been seen before.  I like tricking people into believing one thing when they should believe another.  I also believe that a story can be satisfying with a less than happy ending.  Not everything in life ends happily, so why should all fics end happily?  Variety is the spice of life, so I'm going to flavor my fics in different ways to please you.

    Good thing Harry went to the right place--all sorts of bad things could have happened to him were he to end up somewhere else. He's so trusting too--it's kind of sad, really. He didn't even ask for Severus' name and he's spending the night there. Poor guy. I'm off to read part two.

    Intriguing. I daresay it will be a bit harder for them to accomplish than they think; Albus is a very powerful wizard and if he's been fooling them for that long, I'm certain he'll have a few tricks up his sleeves.

    Wow, the thought of Albus encouraging or possibly orchestrating Sirius' imprisonment is disturbing. I really wish Severus had already taken the boy and left. I have a feeling that time is of the essence and he needs to take Harry somewhere else before Albus gets to any of them, including Arabella.

    Oh, that was very good. The ending was perfect; Severus told just enough about himself to look human in Harry's eyes without giving away his biggest mistake. He was perfectly in character, as was Harry.

    I hadn't actually pictured Draco being in this fic, but it was nice to have an explanation for why he chose not to do it. It was nice to see him in a more courageous role for a change, taking a stand against the darkness, no matter how small it is. Sure, he's doing it to save his own hide right now, but if he returns to school, he will have to be brave to face all of his friends who will know what he failed to do.

    I'd love to read more. I think it would be interesting if Snape was to help Harry plan his Horcrux journey, possibly helping him along the way.

    Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I wasn't planning on having Draco involved either, but he worked his way in. Darn Syltherins. :) If I make it into a longer fic, Snape would definitely be in on horocrux hunting. :) I enjoyed writing it.

    Oh my, what an interesting first chapter. Of course, my hope is that Snape blocked the curse and that it bounced back on archer, but one can never be too sure. I wonder who bit the dust...

    Good chapter! I feel like anything is possible now! Is that Snape under the cape somehow? He does know an impressive amount of magic, so I wouldn't be too surprised. Very curious! I'm glad you're making me think!

    I also really enjoyed Harry's panic and emotional state during this chapter. It was portrayed quite realistically. Nice work!

    Glad you liked Harry in this. I was going for the shell shock affect, him torn between hating Snape, but also not wanting anything really bad to happen to the man. We all wanna kill a teacher at times, right? So that's the side I was going for in the first chapter, but in this, he realize just what would happen if Snape had really died.
