    Yes, I guessed it was his memories of Lily making him avoid Harry.
    But so the powder they tried to leave her ended up returning with them, right? Rather sucky, to be sure, but hey, if she came back with them already, the story might just end, I suppose, right? ;-)

    Author's Response: Yes, the powder carries the magic to take things through time, and it slowly absorbs intp whaever it's touching. The phial will have absorbed all the magic, so she cannot get to it. Thanks so much for the review cckeimig!

    Author's Response: Why thank you! I was inspired by the book 'The Great Escape' by Paul Brickhill, which is based on the true story WWII prisoners of war tunneling out of a prison camp in Nazi Germany. I had it on my brain when I was trying to orchestrate the break-in, and I thought hey, why not they tunnel in, instead of out? Glad you like it. Thanks so much for taking the time to review!
