Plagued by the events from last June, Severus Snape starts his new position as Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Not all are glad about his new job, though. One such person is seventh-year Harry Potter who comes to Hogwarts for one specific reason, to kill Severus Snape. However, things don't necessarily go the way young Harry planned. 2010 Challenge Fest entry. Response to the Headmaster Snape Challenge by Jan_AQ.

Harry's Invisibility Cloak cannot be summoned. But that's just me being nitpicky. Good chapter, despite all the violence. It did create that sort of oppressive mood of the world they're living it, the war and all, you know.
Author's Response: Nitpicky is good, but I don't know how to rewrite it any other way, though. Thanks. :)

On the one hand, it breaks my heart to see how the other Professors are treating Snape, but on the other, I'm glad for their loyalty to Dumbledore and his ideals.
Snape is somewhat mellowed in terms of his attitude towards Harry, isn't he? Well, about time he pulled his head out of his, ahem, and realised that Harry was much more like Lily than James. :)
Author's Response: I don't think Snape's as much mellow as just resigned now to the fact that he and Harry will have to work together. Thanks. :)

Oh. Rather light-hearted, their teasing, considering Harry's about to die. But then, I guess you'd do anything to avoid thinking about what's to come, so it's sort of understandable.
Nicely done.
Author's Response: that's exactly why i kept the Snark and teasing light hearted. and because knowing the two of them they'd be so "weirded out" showing their feeling to each other that they'd need the Banter back and forth to show some sort of Normalacy.

Oh. Wow. I'm speechless. This is so incredibly well written and entrancing, I was so pulled into the story, I didn't realise that there's, well, there's no Snape. Or, if there is, he's not the focus of the story. At all. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this immensely, it's such a vivid imagery that at times it becomes a little overwhelming.
Yeah, there goes speechlessness. Ha.
Stunning and beautiful (in a very, very twisted sort of way) story!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the speechlessness! Or lack thereof. lol Snape is there, even in Chapter 1, although he is not named in this Chapter. He will be having a very large part in the following chapters, including the next, in which you will figure out where he was in the first. Please keep reviewing! Reviews are pure gold.
Severus Snape is a spy by nature and by training. As such it infuriates him when he realizes that he knows virtually nothing about the real Harry…other than the fact that Harry keeps a journal. Using his own invisibility cloak, Severus sneaks into the Gryffindor tower while the students are at the leaving feast and exchanges the journal's specially matched ever-sharp quill with a quill of his own that has been charmed to a parchment in Severus' possession so that everything Harry writes is copied to the parchment. What does Harry write, and what happens when Severus realizes that they are kindred spirits. 2010 Challenge Fest entry. Response to Pen Pals by dianehc.

The diary touch was a nice one, and I guess it's what made this story so interesting to read, seeing that the abuse and the subsequent Snape-saves-the-day pattern was sort of expected. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this, especially Snape teaming up with McGonagall.
Nicely done.

I liked this story a lot, and this changed Snape, who's somehow still the same. Or wants to be. Great story and great insight into Snape's conflicting emotions.

Very nice story. I imagine it was terribly embarrassing for Harry to say all those things in front of his classmate's, but all's well that ends well, right? I'm sure Harry would disagree. :)
Author's Response: Thanks Ramelia. How horrible for Harry, and very embarassing indeed. Yeah, Harry would definitely disagree, but hopefully, he'll realise that he's not alone, and that Snape's bark is worse than his bite; although...he does bit hard sometimes!

So, the note wasn't from Skeeter after all? Nice twist. I'm intrigued.
Author's Response: Thanks. The Trophy Room is on the same floor as the Defence Professor's office ;)
