Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all...

Aww, Harry at the end made me so ad. Poor boy. He just doesn't know! Sniff. Good chapter! I'm already looking forward to the next update! :-) Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you liked!! Yeah, this chapter was kinda tough to write. I had to stop a couple of times 'cause it was depressing me. Anyway, the next update should be up in about two weeks, and the update for Outcast's Alley in about 1 week. Thanks for the review! Rhiannan
I absolutely LOVED the part where Snape called harry his child. Very touching. My heart leaped with joy! ;-) I think this may be a typo though, when they get back to Snape's office: -- "just watching as Severus man went into his potions" -- I think the word 'man' should probably be deleted. But other than that, it was brilliant! I was very excited to see a new chapter! Thanks for sharing! Author's Response: YAY!!!!! I'm really glad you like it! And thanks for pointing out the typo...lol "Yeah, Severus man goin' for the potions!" Thanks for the review!!
I really like Harry's little thoughts and the letters between him and Dumbledore were cute and funny. Of course, my favorite scene was probably that tender little apology between Harry and Snape. Very well done. I'm so glad you updated. I've had a really bad day today, and this really gave me something to distract myself with. So thanks! Author's Response: Yey!! I'm glad you like, and glad I improved your day!! Thanks for the review!
The scene at breakfast before the game was both amusing and cute. I liked it. I was... huh. The part where Snape started listing off Slytherin notes for Dumbledore gave me mixed feelings. I thought it was funny. But sad too. And also just plain awesome. It shows how dedicated Snape really is to the children in his House. Harry hiding from Dumbledore... aww. I know the he missed Snape too. I'm looking forward to their next scene together! ;-) Overall, good work! I'm excited to see more! Author's Response: Yey! Glad you liked! Thanks for the review!! :0)
Loved the chapter, you did a great job. This is one of my favorite stories! :D Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you like!! Thanks for the review!! As he makes the choices that define his life, Harry learns exactly what it means to be Severus' son. Third in the Lily's Charm series.

And crud, newspapers. Augh. Rumors are gonna go flyin'... Good job! Looking forward to the next chapter!
Your Hermione is really great, too. She doesn't bug me, which is a rare thing when I read fanfiction. The girl, in your story, is actually likable. ;-) Anyhow, again, really great chapter. Keep up the good work! Author's Response: Thank you very much. Severus is not about to let Harry spiral into a depression, that's for sure. :o) I'm glad you liked Hermione. I developed quite the ssoft spot for her lately. And I think she just might have grown up a bit during this little experience. :o)
Though, I think my favorite part was Harry falling asleep at the table. It's just those little moments that I am always fond of. ;-) I also liked Harry talking to Severus about Remus. That was cute. Thanks for such a fast update! Looking forward to more. :D Severus Snape, high ranking Death Eater and Headmaster of Hogwarts, finds out that his son is not his own when the boy's glamour begins to break. This was one of those eye-opening stories. Truly awesome. Don't know what else to say really. Such a twisted and complicated plot and such a short story, I love it! What a different world it might've been. And I loved how you ended it. That was so perfect. Great job!!! Author's Response: Thanks! It's meant to be a little confusing at the beginning, with the reader going, what, what, okay, Oh! I was trying to sow Harry's absolute nonchalance about this world, and haw it was completely normal for him, and things that throw us completely for a loop don't even cross his radar, so he (and I) wasn't explaining anything. This was one of those stories that grabs you by the throat and demands to be written nownownow, *throttle*. I'm still eking out fics in this universe. Harry has one last request before he goes off to fulfill his destiny; he wants Snape to make it easy for him to choose what is right. He wants him to make sure that no student has to face abuse alone, as he so often did. –Set in the beginning of 6th year, AU.-

Then it made me wanna cry, i'm such a sap. ;-) This is really moving, and even more so with the music. I think if you're inspired to write more stories based off of her songs, you totally should. ;-) Thanks for sharing, this was really awesome! You are very creative. |
